Teenage Wasteland 13
CanAm Bombers 2
SVENGALI 8
Team Thompson 12
It's Time! 3
Team Cannataro 2
Team NEW 13
LBS Dyv (Main Event) 2
Yiz fancy pants 7
Lumpy's Losers 3
Average draft slot of top 10 finisher: 6.5
This is a full slot below the mean of 7.5. it's always nice to have the facts on my side.

Final results notwithstanding....
The scoring curve is not linear. It drops off at a faster rate at the beginning of the curve. The difference between picks 1 and 15 is much higher than the difference between picks 15 and 30. That is a fact. All other things (including luck) are not equal so results by the end of the season are all over the map. I rather not start out behind, however.
Billy did a great job to be 1st h2h after drafting 14th and I was happy to improve to 3rd after drafting 12th.
Note that in the draft position neutral auction both Billy and I made the playoffs and I was lucky enough to be 1st.

Touche' Mr. Gekko. We'll settle this once and for all on the fantasy field, in the 2005 NFFC.

1. Blind bidding on draft slots - allows ALL owners some input on their draft slot. no negatives, except the "i'm afraid to try something new crowd".
2. An additional roster spot for playoff weeks - clearly makes sense. no negatives, except from the "i might get blocked crowd"...which by the way is totally ridiculous, cause you can get blocked under the current rules). all you WCOFF guys that are lucky enough to make the playoffs are gonna feel the pinch (going from 20 to 18) if a couple of your players get hurt after week 13.
3. League championship game or 3 game series between best H2H record and most pts (if different) - helps in determining that the most "deserving" team receive the 1st place league prize. no negatives, except from the "old school" crowd who likes to reward the H2H winner no matter how they did it. 1. Yes
2. Yes
3. A slight compromise IMO. I'm more of a total points purist but I know that's never gonna happen. I would vote for this - not because it's my first choice - but because it's better than what we currently have.
GG - I'm glad you decided to come back to defend your title. I look forward to your spirited MB posts in 05. You talked alot of smack last year but you backed it up with a championship. Too bad you picked Vegas again. I was hoping for a chance to be in the same league. I guess I'll have to settle for another playoff encounter.
