Greg,

Is there any consideration being given about conducting Main Event drafts on both Friday and Saturday? I would love to draft and enter two teams, but that's impossible given the current setup. Draft Champions and Auction Leagues are already drafting on Friday, so adding a Main Event draft shouldn't be too hard from a logistics standpoint.

This change alone would probably boost entries by 30% IMO.

That would certainly make for three full days of drafting with the DC and auction on Friday, the main and ultimate on Saturday, and another main on Sunday. As long as there is a rule that a competitive lineup will be submitted each week for both teams or both teams will forfeit their games that week, I think it would be great.

The only problem with having TWO "mains", would be that you would have to have two SEPARATE grand prizes. Information leaking out Saturday during and after the draft would give the Sunday drafters a CLEAR advantage.

Keep it the way it is now is my philosophy, but adding another auction on Sunday (in each city), or even Saturday night AFTER the main would be AWESOME!

Multiple draft dates for the same contest/grand prize is the norm for many national contests, especially internet leagues. I don't see it as a big problem or major advantage. But if you think there is an advantage, then you can always sign up for the later draft.

And Tamu...I was thinking more along the lines of the extra Main Event draft being on Friday rather than a third day of drafting on Sunday. The Owners who choose not to participate in the Draft Champions/Auction League drafts can instead draft in the Main Event.

This is all just thinking out loud...just trying to get some ideas rolling that might allow Owners to have two different teams in the Main Event.

Is my "weekend warrior" prep better than your prep?

[/QUOTE]Exactly Gekko (you beat me to the punch). THat being said, a team I drafted in late August did VERY well in a certain internet league compared to a team I drafted 3 days before the season began.

Still, Gekko is correct...... it won't happen!
