Now THERE'S a MUCH better idea for a Team Name then the one I've chosen.
I'm heading to the Preference page right now to make the change! Thanks, Ponch!

Ponch, Fantasy football and the NFL are two different things. If im putting up big bucks to get into a event I want everything to be fair and square. In my opinion I think the the best way would be to have a auction where the top six teams with total point get in the playoff's.To me thats straight up fair and square.you have to use your brain to get your team not draft position. There is just to many what if's going by record.
As for the moss/harrison thing in the NFL it's a team sport and the goal is to get to the super bowl. You are not going to win the super bowl every year so it's a total different area.In fantasy we are trying to rack up ''POINTS''
If a team has 1,400 points and the second highest scoring team has 1,300 points but the guy with 700 points has a better record then the 1,300 guy and gets bumped out of the playoff's is that justice.
Johnny I agree with some of your points but not with others.
First of all, Fantasy Football should mirror NFL Football as close as viably possible. The whole idea is to manage and coach a team which then directly plays other teams in pursuit of a Championship. I think that's what most Fantasy players would want.
That being said, neither Fantasy Football nor NFL Football (nor life, for that matter) are suppose to be "fair and square". Level playing field, yes, but not fair. Is it fair that NFL teams with better records one year have to play tougher schedules the following year? Is it fair that one Fantasy team has to draft from the 1st position, and another from the 14th? Is it fair that some of the 14-team leagues are half-filled with "dead money", while others are filled with 14 diehards? None of it is "fair", but it's part of the game.
I think that the Head-to-Head record is important, exciting, and adds an interesting element to the game, just like it does in the NFL. An NFL team who gets grossly outscored during a bad start to the season can "right the ship" and make a well-deserved comeback. The same should be possible in Fantasy Football, otherwise half the teams would quit halfway through the season.
With that in mind, I do think there is merit to giving more weight to Total Points. For instance, I would not be opposed to dividing the $7,500 League prize money equally between the the Head-to-Head winner and the Total Points winner. If that happens to be the same team, then that team is the undisputed Champ of the League and gets the whole $7,500.
Hope I haven't strayed too far off the point here... [/QUOTE]Shrink....I think me and you are kind of on the same page here.I 100% agree with you on the $7,500 dollar thing.Thats my point too.I was one of the guys who got screwed out of that last year. And I really think a auction or BBDS would slove alot of the problems. So do you feel that winning the main event is the super bowl? And if yes, then what about all the other leagues we play in,What do you rank them as.

P.S....as others have said welcome aboard and it is good to see some new blood around here.

Ponch....Everyone has there own opinion.Im just a total points guy..We really need to make a fantasy football guide line as for whats more important. Is it how many league's you win,Is it total points,is it record.Yes Gekko cash is on the list also But pride is important too.Yeah RI, it would be nice, but good luck trying to get all of us knuckleheads to even agree that the sky is blue, let alone on concrete "Fantasy Edicts." And yes, 100 Gs can buy a lot of wine, whiskey, and wimmens.....but to beat the sh*t out of 350 other cats and know you are the best right then and there.....that's pride.....that's what I want.

Thanks for the Welcome, RI.
Yes, I would equate winning the Main Event with winning the Super Bowl. More glamour, more players, more money, more attention...everything.
As for the other Leagues, I honestly haven't looked at them very closely, but maybe I should...
