Well, gentlemen, I see it was a productive weekend as the argument over the flex spot has been shucked aside for the personal disagreements once again. Waiting to see if GG and SNAKE can work out this bet. I could mediate this and see $250 go each way, if GG finishes in the top 1-9, Snake pays $250, if GG finishes 10-15, GG pays $250, if SNAKE finishes 1-9, GG pays $250, if SNAKE finishes 10-15, SNAKE pays $250. Or you could just bet $500, total points wins the mula.

GG has counter-offered, SNAKE, oh king of the BOLD statement. That's why I was throwing out a compromise proposal as I know you like to have money on the line.
As for JJ's assessment of the satellite leagues, you are right on, JJ, as the satellites ARE leagues without "dead money" for the most part, except for those who get their a**es kicked and then say they were only in it for fun, or were trying a different strategy for the fun of it, or some other excuse from SNAKE EXCUSES, VOLUME 1. I can say without question after two years of the GEKKO Invitational and last year's NY/CHI Grudge Match that the satellite leagues are both more fun and more intense for me than the Main Event. 50% of that is the solo aspect and 50% is the rivalry aspect that gets built up on these boards that carries over to the league. And with the team events, you can't lay down unless you plan on changing cities.

I think he was referring to your excuses in general (2004 Junkies Dilemna team, etc.), NOT any excuses you have made YET in the satellites.
Still don't think you are the MB "whipping boy" Snake??

Wasn't the main reason for the NY/CHI Grudge Match to enable SNAKE a chance to put up or shut up? The NY/CHI Grudge Match would certainly qualify as a Satellite League.
Does anyone remember the reason given for SNAKE's non-participation in that event? Would this reason qualify as an excuse?

BWAZZ is correct here, Snake, as you are not only the king of BOLD statements but also the king of excuses, lest we not forget the dual personality excuse as one example that we certainly don't want to rehash here. This was all in good fun, Snake, and will be remedied in the coming months in the 3-CC and the Snake Classic. As JJ also stated in his satellite league discussion, major bragging rights will exist on many fronts as there are no excuses H2H.
As for the "whipping boy" monicker, I don't attach that to anyone on these boards as there are those who enjoy FF discussion and those who enjoy a good argument. Since getting married 11 years ago, my research on the subject indicates most men who argue with other men for the sake of argueing are pretty much getting their a** kicked in arguments at home by the wife and are just argueing to feel good about winning one. This can be a good thing as they can satisfy the competitive juices without getting cut off for any length of time. For what it's worth.

...look, for the umpeenth time, SNAKE is in TWO satellite leagues (one of which is HIS league) and looks forward greatly to competing in 2006...SNAKE I'll give you this: you're putting your reputation on the line this year by participating in multiple leagues.
However...
What was your excuse in 2005 as to why you didn't want to join the NY/CHI league?
