It is possible to push this back on Friday to 8 p.m. EST, but I'll admit it's not ideal. Tom and I are not always available at that time if anyone has problems with their bids and STATS won't have customer service lines open at that time. I don't see either as being a big deal as we certainly make the NFBC bids work on Sunday nights and I'll admit that we get few calls before bids are due about problems. But people should be aware that if we make this change the above kicks in.

I will await more feedback before changing anything and may send out an e-mail to get feedback. But we're looking into this request and I'll have a decision before Draft Day.

Could be time for a poll, say August 1st, when a majority of folks are back on the boards and signed up.

One additional drawback to the Friday evening deadline: the Orthodox Jewish NFFC members will be at a disadvantage. As the season progresses, sundown gets earlier and earlier, making it impossible for these folks to get to a computer anywhere close to 8pm.

Not sure how many people would be affected by this, but I suppose it's worth mentioning.

Leave the time alone. You people have all week to submit waiver request. Suggestion!! Don't wait until Friday to do it. Some of you people amaze me. If I didn't know better, I'd think I was on the wackoff site (WCOFF) but then again, I'd be kicked out for writing this.

Just that, "IMO". Player info is always available and normally comes out on Thursday. Now, lets get this board fired up. I'm ready to roll.

[/QUOTE]Please GG, let his wounds from Lenny's expulsion heal before you whip Darryl into shape here! :D We allow freedom of opinions on the boards here and saying that little will change in the three hours between our current FAAB deadline and the proposed FAAB deadline isn't ALL that far-fetched. Darryl, put some ice on those wounds and you should be healed in time for Draft Day in Chicago! :D Welcome aboard.

There are good arguments for moving the deadline to a later time but I have to state that I prefer the earlier time as it reduces the advantage to those that have access to the internet if some "later-breaking" news occurs during that time interval. Therefore the advantages of the later deadline are in-fact the exact reason that I would personally prefer that the deadline remain the same.

i (and many others) realize news comes out daily and for someone to set their FAAB on tuesday and then forget about it (as daryl implies) is not what happens in the real world.

are you going soft greg, the original GG a few years ago was much more abrasive than the current refined GG. :D
