Team Canada, you're kicking a$$ in NY League 6, and you don't know all the rules? I'd hate to see what you could do if you did your homework...lol
Guys, after the free agent bids are in, you're stuck until the following week for pickups.

In a perfect world, the free agent deadline would be moved to Saturday evening. There's absolutely no legitimate reason for this not to happen. So far, I believe the two reasons listed to not push back the deadline are:
(1) people go away for the weekend and need to set their lineups before the end of the business day on Friday
(2) Greg and Tom are besieged with questions each week regarding pickups
To both of these, I say poppycock. Regarding the first point, I have to believe that if you are diehard enough to put up this kind of $$$, you'll figure out a way to get your FA pickups into your lineup. As for the 2nd point, I find it difficult to believe that people are still having problems. Maybe the first week or two, there are some misunderstandings that need to be sorted through. But now? C'mon...

There are no additional free agent pickups after Friday's FAAB deadline. So even if you did try to pick up free agents and your kicker (i.e. Vinatieri) was ruled inactive after that and you didn't have a backup, you wouldn't have a chance to pick up another free agent. There are logical reasons for the NFFC doing it this way, but I'm actually surprised nobody has jumped on board to criticize this decision.
In your case, GG is saying if the Friday deadline were pushed back to 8:15 EST you'd have time to make this move. KOQ is saying that if the FAAB deadline were pushed back to Saturday night then you'd have time to make these moves. I say if we moved it back to 12:30 p.m. on Sunday EVERYONE would have time to make these FAAB bids. Somewhere a line must be drawn and unfortunately for GG and KOQ I own the crayon.

As far as the not knowing the rules I never thought this would be a concern but with bye's and questionable players I just don't want to let someone go for a maybe. I believe the rule should be changed you can keep the deadline the same and any player that could not even merit a dollar bid should be up for grabs on a first come first serve baisis until the next faab period after all if someone doesn't even get bid on obviously they are not worth much but they could save someone from putting up a zero. This rule would be a great addittion to the rules and help with the timezone issues aswell.

And those of us who have this thing called a "life" and a "family" (got one of those?) and who don't live glued to the computer are at a disadvantage all weekend.
