Free agents after friday?
I'm just glad we have UNTIL Friday for waivers to run. A lot of leagues do them as early as Wednesday. As far as that last minute scratch, well, thats why you have a bench to begin with. In a 14 team league with fairly deep rosters, if you are relying on the nubbins available on a Saturday after waivers have run then God be with you and thanks for playing.

For the guy that's so busy maybe you didn't hear the part about the if he is not worth 1 dollar than he is not that valuable and maybe there is other people that are busy dureing the week for some reason and they would like to take what they can get on saturday instead of a zero. My point is your point people are busy at all times maybe different than when your busy. I would know my company works on conveyors usually when normal jobs are off cause thats when the line goes down. I would also suggest to you that if you can't get to a computer maybe you could call a trusted friend to do it for you.

I suppose that I'm "the guy" you're referring to (thanks for the shout-out), although making any sense of what you say is difficult to say the least. You've obviously missed my point completely.
Who said anything about being too busy? Had you read my post, you would've seen that I referenced "late-breaking NFL news", not just picking somebody up to avoid a zero. For instance, Byron Leftwich was just now surprisingly placed on the injury report. Now, let's say that you're on your conveyor belt somewhere and I'm at home when that news hits. Is it then fair that I'm able to pick up Garrard instead of you just because I happen to be at my computer? Of course not. This kind of unexpected news can hit anytime: Late Friday, Saturday, or even 10 minutes before kickoff. Maybe that's cool in your little local league, but not in a high-stakes national contest such as this one. In this case, not living at my computer would put me at a disadvantage.
I have a life and a family, pal. That shouldn't put me at a disadvantage when it comes to playing Fantasy Football. Tom and Greg obviously agree, or they would've implemented first-come-first-serve a long time ago.

Brain fart or reality?? Anyone??

Hey folks, just a reminder that due to the Thanksgiving holiday our FAAB deadline this week will be Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET. Just a heads up and we want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving as well.

Thanks KoQ, you're a lot faster than I am. I spent the past 20 mins looking for some type of info regarding this. I distinctly remember getting screwed last year with the earlier deadline. So I guess Captain Hook IS WRONG.
They really need to add this to the rules so everyone is aware AND send an e-mail to all owners. I know there's a lot of owners perusing the MB's, but overall, more people aren't on here to see reminders like this.

Especially considering there are Thursday games in both Weeks 12 and 13 this year, yes, it needs to be addressed via the message boards, the rules, and a blast e-mail.
