Any tiny consolation for satellites?

Post by TURBOUGH » Sun Dec 03, 2006 5:38 pm

Just wondering. It would be nice to be playing for 10% off next years entrie fee or something. Just looking for something to play for.

Thanks

If you are talking about 2nd place in a satelitte league, I suggested that 2nd place winners get a free $100 satelitte entry the next year.
Just something to play for like you said.
I didn't want to bring it up again because I'm in one right now that could use it but didn't want to appear to be self-serving. 13 teams wasting away while someone (guess who she is?) ran away with the league long ago.
Yes it would be great for all the other teams to be playing for something since 1st was decided weeks ago.
I think more people would enter if there was something for 2nd place.

edit:
Sorry, it isn't Jules running away with our satelitte, it Geronimos Cadillac by David Kennedy. I guess I just saw the more than 200 point lead and assumed.
Jules has one of the 5 or 6 teams that would be fighting for 2nd.

I'm actually referring to the $500 league I'm in. Unfortunately I'm 5th in points but would like to be playing for maybe a $50-$100 credit towards next season. Hopefully Greg will respond to this.

As for the leagues playing for a free entry, I say throw a bone to you guys so that you are playing for something. Still a few weeks left. No fantasy, no fun.

Greg - can you believe the nerve of some people? Hey greg how about you give 100% payout for your satellite leagues? How about giving back 120%? Wait a minute - how about you give back all your profits in the entire nffc main event to the participants? LOL

I know you have to be diplomatic on the MB, but I know deep down these type of guys give you a WTF feeling.

Thanks Here - there is a separate thread on this
"We're happy to be teaming up with TopGun Fantasy.com for the second straight year for a post-season fantasy football game."

Gecko, I am with you - this is one of the silliest threads I have seen here since Snake/Waz

agreed Hook and GG --- silly idea and WTF are two phrases that come to mind here

... and speaking of the auction, Im hoping for 6-7 FG's out of Kasay tonight to get me a bye week - had I beaten either of you I would've already clinched, instead looks like I'll be down in the trenches with a 5 seed

KJ - at least you have already qualified into the playoffs - I posted the seeding...at least 1-5

And at least I have a simple - WIN & IN situation to deal with and four good players going tonight -thanks GG

I don't think the 4th place team gets anything in the $500 league. (not sure though)

Which is fine with me of course.

But I think a 14-team league that goes by total points ($100 league) should have a small second place prize.
Just to keep it interesting.

hook - if your guys play as expected looks like you should win with pts to spare/ g.l.

sound advice - I think the point is, that would be an idea to bring up before the contest begins ... asking for an additional payout when the season is nearly complete is kinda' pathetic
