Friday Chat Has Commenced

All right folks, it's time for another chat. So bring all of your questions, comments and so forth here and we'll have some fun.

To answer Diesel's question about roster sizes in the Draft Masters and Auctions. The Draft Masters will have 24-man rosters, while the Auctions will have 20.

Tom, how's the DM looking in New York? We need four for the Auction, we should fill that.

We do not have a full league in NY yet. One of our options remains a phone hookup with other cities if necessary.

That would be fine for the DM.

I have no problem with a phone-hookup draft for DraftMasters. Whatever it takes for it to happen.

All right you NFFC bums, let's get the talk going today. I'm on Sirius Radio at 8:45 p.m. CST tonight with Adam Caplan and Steve Cohen. What should I talk about? Who should I push on the air? They say they're going to kill me for that Sirius Experts League draft I had yesterday. Bring it on, I say.

Then it's 8:05 a.m. tomorrow with Paul Charchian of Fanball.com on his weekly fantasy football show in Minneapolis and 8:45 a.m. with Dan Glasgens in Cincinnati. Give me some material to use, since all of you have seen more football than I have thus far. Me, I just sit in front of my computer each night and wait for your questions, signups and anything else.

Bring it on today, please.

1) Any reason why the auction has 20 man rosters and the NFFC main event has 18?

2) If you go with the phone hook-up, isn't there a time zone problem? All DM leagues begin at 1pm local time (from what I read)? Same issue with the auction leagues (6pm local)...

Gordon, you're right on the time zone issue. We're basically exploring ways to make this work if we come up with less than full leagues in each city.

As far as the roster sizes, I'll defer to Greg there.

Since August 17th, new signps are being greeted with "Good luck for the overall grand prize" instead of "Good luck for the $200,000." What should a fence sitter infer from this?
