Captain, go take your meds and surf the internet a while. Maybe you can teach yourself something about seeding.

Try keywords Villanova and 1985

John - please that is silly - the NCAA is a bracketed event - the #16 can't play the #8 seed - the original #16 who has "taken over" the #1 seed will play the #8 - at that point there is no number higher than 8 left in the tournament as there are only eight teams.

Maybe you just haven't played in FF events where the playoff teams earned a certain seed # - ealthough that would seem a lot odder to me. YOU should have seen everything by now. LOL... I'm trying to figure out how we could be talking about two different things, but I can't find it.

Can you show me ONE reference in any print media about this "taken" over concept? I've watched every NCAA tournament since Lew Alcindor played and not once have I ever seen, or heard of this "taken" over concept. LOL

Ok... When the NCAA's come up next March, and Tulsa at #13 beats a #4 seed, I'll will wager anything you want that the announcers, all TV graphics, all print media with brackets, all refer to the #13 seed as the #13 seed the rest of the way in the tournament. They will never be referred to as the #4 seed just because they beat the #4 seed. George Mason was never referred to as the seeds they beat. Weren't they #11? It was always a #11 seed in is the Final Four.

"11th-seeded George Mason overcame huge disadvantages in size, athleticism and history Sunday to stun the Huskies 86-84 in overtime, ending a stranglehold that big-time programs have enjoyed for 27 years in college basketball's biggest showcase."

With regards to FF, All I've ever seen is re-seeding after every round. Best plays worst.
The way the NFL has always done it.

3 vs 6
4 vs 5
---------
If 6 wins, they can only play 1
If 3 wins, they can only play 2
If 3 and 4 win, 1 vs 4, 2 vs 3
If 3 and 5 win, 1 vs 5, 2 vs 3
If 4 and 6 win, 1 vs 6, 2 vs 4
If 5 and 6 win, 1 vs 6, 2 vs 5
Jules is a Dirt bag and makes my luck.

The rules never directly state who the #1 seed
is. If seeds #3-6 are ranked with seeds #3 and
#4 coming from "Total points" and #5 and#6 coming
from "Best Records", then common sense would
say that Points Leader would be #1 seed.

Does this make sense?

#1- W/L Leader
#2- Points Leader
#3- Points (second)
#4- Points (third)
#5- W/L (Best Remaining)
#6- W/L ( " " " )

Not to me. If Points determine the seeds for week #14 we should stay consistent and have
Points Leader as #1 seed.
We really can't change anything after a single
Kickoff occurs anyway. This is already ugly,
I believe. Again, the rules only state who the top 2 seeds are, not who would take #1.
thanks, HMAN83

It's highest seed against lowest seed in the second round. #1 vs. #4, 2 vs. 3. If #6 beat #3 this week, then it would be #1 vs. #6 and #2 vs. #4.

The top seed is h2h champ, second seed is total points. From the rules:

The third-seeded team (based on total points) will take on the sixth-seeded team (based on h2h record) in Week 14, while the fourth-seeded team (based on total points) will take on the fifth-seeded team (based on h2h record). The lowest-seeded winning team from that round will take on the top-seeded team in Week 15 and the middle-seeded teams will also compete in the semi-final round of the playoffs. The playoff winners from Week 15 will compete in Week 16 for the league championship prize, while the losers from Week 15 will compete in the third-place game.

We'll fix that now and look over the other auction leagues. We'll make sure the pairings are correct and I apologize if any of them were wrong before today. We should have checked those matchups right away.
