Gekko's example COULD be avoided as Sound Advice stated.
While it isn't the best example, Gekko is correct that an example like his has affected MANY of us, due to managing too many leagues, oversight, running out of time, etc. Apparently from his post, it appears that Mr. Sound Advice has never made a mistake when submitting a lineup??
In the scenario I used earlier, you would be SCREWED under the current rules.
I think this is something that would help EVERYONE EQUALLY, and I have no idea where Sound Advice gets off saying Gekko has a "hidden agenda".

Just checking if "Sound Advice"
...is the same person as "Sound" on the WCOFF MB?

Why not have back-up players for each position? If a questionable player is ruled out of a game, then your back-up's score counts in their place. With the NFL constantly giving uncertain and intentionally misleading information regarding injuries, this would be even more fair than just having a more flexible flex position. Ready....stretch!!!!

~Lance I have one hand raised as I type this with my other. Unless you're being facetious, how can you not see what was wrong?? Sound Advice pointed out exactly what came to my mind when I read it. It was a very poor example to use since it could've been rectified on its own, without a rule change.
I'm not sure why, but I could care less if this was implemented. I say deal with the injuries and potential lost of stats like the rest of us.
Players being "out" doesn't affect me since I'm home with the Sunday Ticket every week, but what about those who have to submit a lineup early in the morning due to other responsibilities?? <---------This always seems to surface when it comes to different issues so I thought I would bring it up for those who are absent from the boards right now.
Now, if only we can get the Westbrook owners to put him in the Flex Position when it's a late game, this wouldn't be as big of a problem.

the example CLEARLY showed how having the flex spot "liquid" would have helped. sorry you and your bud sound advice can't see that.

Who cares good example bad example.
You don't like each other or whatever.
Point this would only be a good thing if Stats can get this done.
So stop bitching.
Any word on this Greg?

Like Raiders stated...What does it mater whether you like Gekko's example? Sometimes I honestly feel as though 1-People write just to write. Or 2-people have fought with some on the messageboard and wait for any given moment to argue with that person.
Forget the example. This thread is dwelling on something so menial, it's ridiculous.
Case and point. Gekko's suggestion was a good one. Greg agreed. It's all a matter of whether or not STATS can do this within their system's capabilities.

Marc, it really isn't menial. Anyone can CLEARLY see in the example that Flex change wasn't necessary, it was just poor roster management by the owner. GG actually did the same exact thing last season so I guess it makes sense to him, but what about the newbies who are reading and trying to figure things out? I was just agreeing with Sound since he was somewhat riducled for pointing out a FACT.
I really don't like the change anyways. The Flex is called a Flex due to the ability to be flexible with 3 different positions, not Flexible for your entire roster to be moved around after games have started. I see the Flex as a position that should be locked once games start. Some think it's a position, some don't. If it's not a position then why do we receive points from players in that roster position? I'm not a fan of teams being able to switch and move players. Like I said, this is a BIG advantage to those of us who are at home or by a computer most Sundays, but a disadvantage to those who aren't. Like I said, deal with the injuries and how to manage your roster like the rest of us.
You know what's funny, is a lot of people can say, "shut up, stop bitchin, quit complaining, etc" yet there's no insight or opinions offered by them. Snake gets ridiculed for trying to talk FF and offer his opinions. Snake is one of the few on the MB's who actually has his own opinion and will talk about players, who cares if he's full of sheet. Some of us ask questions and they never get answered, but when we offer our opinions on something, people are very quick to put it down.
I guess once all the mags arrive, then the opinions on players will surface!
BTW, Marc, your just mad about my domination in the Brawlin Monarchs!!!!
