That's ok, JJ. Just think about only having to hear 2 other leagues hollering out draft picks on Saturday instead of 9 and the pain all goes away. The Chitown gang is going to wish they had drafted down here with us. I hear ya. Thats what I was telling the Diesel. It's going to be our own little draft. I wonder If Greg still sends down the same # of Drink tickets and goodies as the other citys.
Im still just crossing my fingers that there will be two events for friday.

Could you please tells us the Game plan for The Tampa DC and Auction?
There is only 15 days left before the Big Day. It would be great to do two events on Friday.
Any hope?????
Thanks Johnny, we'll definitely have two live events in Tampa on Friday, Aug. 31st, but it looks like we'll need a phone and some patience from the Tampa owners to pull this off. But yeah, everything is still a go for you folks down there and Scott Kelnhofer is a veteran KP staffer who will make sure you folks have plenty of fun.
Let's start with the $650 Draft Champions League. We have six guys signed up in Tampa and it looks like five extras in Las Vegas. We even have two extras in New York. We'll give Tampa this week to fill on its own, but at the very least I could see a two-city hookup of 14 teams to fill this and maybe even a three-city. But who cares, right? They're all solid owners and all you do is draft for 26 rounds anyway. You boys will be spread out in Tampa, have the big draft board there and plenty of drinks to have fun for 3+ hours. Sound good?
The Auction League is tougher, but doable. We now have 8 owners in Tampa and I'll give the rest of this week to see if we can fill it up there. If not, well, we have 6 owners in Las Vegas right now and four in Chicago if we wanted to do a hookup with just one of those cities. I'd rather Tampa filled up and hooked up Las Vegas and Chicago, but we'll see. Some of the owners may not even want to do a hookup, especially those in the other cities. So we need to let this play out for a few days and then we'll call everyone and get some feedback. But I think if the 8 owners stick it out in Tampa, we can find another city (just one) to make this work.
Phone auctions aren't ideal, but in football they are doable. Teams spend so much money early on the RBs that the bidding is less intense later. We can do this and Scott has run teleconference auctions in baseball for us and we'd get Rex in Las Vegas, who is also a veteran of doing these. Everyone just has to understand the situation and help out, that's all. But it's definitely doable.
That's the update. We have one more week to make this work and we will. Just watch and see.

If we don't get the 14 owners to draft the auction in Tampa, I'm willing to do a phone auction with one of the other cities.
