Can't change WR to Flex

Post by Bezoar » Sun Sep 09, 2007 5:44 am

Marvin Harrison was started at WR and he is now locked into that position. I was of the understanding that we would be able to switch players from RB or WR to Flex if we desired even after their games were complete.

I have no interest in actually changing Marvin to Flex but I just wanted to clarify whether this will be possible this year.

Anyone?

This is my first year playing @NFFC but I would assume that once a player starts his game he is "locked" into the posistion you have him listed at. Weather that be active/bench or the posistion choice.

Marauders, last yr there was some sentiment that you should be able to switch players to or from the Flex position from or to RB or WR if you had other players at those positions with late starts.

It was my understanding that this feature was to be incorportated this year. I just wanted to check with the STATS guys and find out if that were indeed the case or if I had misinterpreted the earlier statements.

Yes, this will be done this year. I'll post that under General Discussion. Thanks for the reminder.

Anyone? Yes, this is supposed to be possible. I am checking with STATS now to see what is going on there. I just posted last week that this feature would be available Week 1 and will add an update here as soon as I hear from them.

Yes, this Flex position does work as we stated. From STATS:

Players that are locked still have to appear as locked.
Below is an example of how it would work.

Lets say you had three players on your team in this state:

RB - active - unlocked
Flex (RB) - active - locked
WR - bench - unlocked

If you choose to bench the RB and activate the WR, it will slide the RB that is in the flex position to RB, bench the currently active RB, and move the WR into the flex position.
