ugly,
I am not sure anyone is saying there is not a huge amount of LUCK in the H2H portion of fantasy football. Who does not "get" that? If GG just wants to vent H2H frustrations here I totally respect that. But to say it is sucking the life and fun out of fantasy football? (which I know now he was referring to himself) Well the #'s do not support that.
My point is for most/many... the H2H aspect of fantasy football is a huge part of what makes it fun and is why it (fantasy football)has been exploding in popularity. I completely agree the H2H part is frustrating. However no one logical thinks fantasy football is a coin flip or a lottery-like luck fest. The better players will have the better H2H result over a large sample of results.
Everyone agrees with that.

Care to share them?

I hate H2H and playoffs for big money stuff. I understand the playoffs for the 100k but not for individual big money leagues ... why?
I doubt you mean any harm by what you type (other than when you call me a bold face liar) ... you just need to proof read what you typing a little more IMHO.
Peace, Mike

ugly,
I believe it is sucking the life out of gekko... However, I am saying the majority of the world is loving it. I am guessing, but would be willing to speculate that 95% of fantasy football games have a H2H element. We can plainly see there has been an explosion in fantasy football popularity over the last 10 years. Clearly the format appeals.
You do understand there can be no "100K" without a large number of entries to support it right? You also know without a H2H component, you can't have a large number of entries. My point is the 100K is connected to the H2H format. Trust me, I would be first in line for an event that did not have H2H. I am simply stating the reailty that it is an extremely popular part of fantasy football in todays fantasy football market.
Am I saying something totally off base?

Ugly,
You must have changed that previous post while I was replying. Not sure where the "liar" thing came from but don't care to know. I am not sure what you mean by harm. Is it harmful to have the position that H2H is a big part of the mainstream fantasy football community? Am I saying something outlandish that needs to be proof read? While I agree new events are growing without H2H, it is a fact that H2H is still by far the biggest format people are consuming.
Without it, there is no 100K without $5000-$10,000 entry fees.

if greg awarded league prize money strictly by best H2H record, the nffc wouldn't be in business any longer. everyone knows that H2H doesn't do a good job in terms of determining the best team at the end of the season. that is why the league points leader always gets a crack in the league championship game. without it, fantasy football as we know it is dead.

I got in it this year because I think I have a better shot at it than most and I thought it would be fun to try to be the first NBC champ (but it is still a crap shoot)
Football guys has a FF contest with over 12,000 entries that pays 20K ... no H2H .... quit making stuff up ... please

Am I saying something totally off base? The $650 DC has no H2H and pays over 4K ... are you in it?
