As usual, I am somewhat confused. Here is what I think happens:
Situation: After 13 weeks, team A has the best league record. Team B has most points (even more than team A). Team C has the next most points (maybe less than A, but still the next most).
I believe A and B continue to play for 3 more weeks to detrmine who gets $5K and who gets $2K. I believe they might start week 13 with their "average" points. I also believe team C stops playing and is given 3rd place.
Are these assumptions correct?
In addition, I believe if A has best record and most points after week 13, he automatically gets $5K, team B gets 2nd place money and C gets 3rd place money.
Thanks in advance,
Pete

In related news, please slow down in your NBC league. Weren't you supposed to be on your 2nd honeymoon or something?

League Prize Question
This change was one of my favorites as I think it is fair.
Each league has $8,750 in league prizes: $5,000 for first, $2,500 for second, $1,250 for third
Each League Champion (won/loss record + total points after Week 13) = $5,000 **
Each 2nd place (2nd most pts after Week 13 if one team had best h2h record and most total points) = $2,500
Each League 3rd place finisher (3rd most total points in each league) = $1,250
** If after Week 13, one team was h2h champ and another team was total points champ, then those two teams would each receive $2,500 and would compete in Weeks 14-16 for the remaining $2,500 and the title as league champ. That league playoff would be total points from Weeks 14-16.
Rob - So if A and B are each playing for the remaining league prize money weeks 14-16, do they start out with a clean slate (zero points) or their average points (advantage to the guy with most points)? It sounds like they start out with a clean slate (but with average points as they play on for the $100K).

League Prize Question
King - Doing the draft was a very late decision. As I was already in Vegas with the wife for our 30th anniversary, and since we stayed in the Flamingo on our way back from Hawaii on our original honeymoon it seemed like Karma was telling me to do the draft. Of course, Karma has a name and it is Greg....
Losing Romo a few weeks ago I thought I was done; but so far, so good. Still lots of games to be played and things are changing every single day.
Hey, after tonight (I have nobody going) I will be looking up at your team and several others in the standings. Best of luck the rest of the way to both of us.
Pete

Pete
If the H2H and Points champs are different teams, they each claim the 2nd place prize ($2,500 for NFFC, $2,000 for NBC) and then have a 3-week playoff. The team that scores the most points during those three weeks wins the difference between 1st and 2nd (2,500 for NFFC, $3,000 for NBC). There's no scoring average from the regular season, just straight points -- whoever scores more in those three weeks wins the difference.
At the same time, both teams make the $100,000 Championship. For THAT contest, the scoring average is used.
Hope this helps

Pete Correct...
Really?
Correct, and this is a huge difference between the NFFC and other leagues such as WCOFF. If you're the H2H and Points champ through 13 weeks, you automatically win the $5,000 league prize and make the $100,000 Championship. The next-highest scoring team gets 2nd place money and also makes the $100,000 Championship. 3rd place goes to the remaining highest points scorer, and only if that team is in the Top 10% Overall will they make the $100,000 Championship.
