Tom and I will be on standby if needed. Good group of owners here. [/QUOTE]O.K. THANKS GREG!!! THE BEST NIGHTS FOR ME ARE WEDNESDAYS AND THURSDAY.

I WORK AT NIGHT. I CAN DO IT DURING THE DAY AS LONG AS IT IS BEFORE 5PM EST.

WHATEVER WE COME UP WITH I'LL TRY TO GET THAT DAY OFF OR SWITCH WITH SOMEONE FOR THE NIGHT OFF.

JUST LET ME KNOW WHAT IT BEST FOR THE MAJORITY.

Would a Saturday 10AM EST work for everyone? How about Feb 7th?

Say yes if you can do it then.

Saturday mornings are normally bad for me. I'm coaching my kids basketball teams. Sunday afternoons and evenings are typically good. Weekday evenings except Tuesday work.

Best way 24 hour clock. It will move along. Pick a start date and time, it would be nice if we could pre-select are picks.

Great idea John! We could make the fun last for months!!!

I was in 2 of the 24 hour clock DC's earlier this year and they both were a lot of fun.

John Not interested in this way. I want to do a chat room....1 minute picks and no player lists if possible. We get 2 people to do a spread sheet and compare notes for accuracy then send the info to Greg.

Keep weighing in on times that are available and we'll pick the one most convienent for everyone.

I was talking to Billy about an idea for drafting rookies so everyone has a fair shot at them.

Here it is....

Any pick during the draft you can just say "rookie pick" and you will reserve a spot for the rookie draft. Only those who gave up picks in favor of a "rookie pick will be involved in this draft. First person to select a "rookie pick" instead of a veteran player gets first pick at the rookie draft. 2nd person gets 2nd pick and so on.

If only 3 picks are used on "rookie picks" then it will be a short rookie draft.

This draft will be held in early May after which our regular monthly draft for May will be held.

Any remaining rookies will be fair game for the duration of the May draft as well as the August 2 round supplemental draft.

We will use KDS and 3RR as usual.
We will draft 6 rounds in Feb
6 rounds in March
7 rounds in April
7 rounds in May following the "rookie draft"

This will total up to 28 roster spots.

Does everyone understand the "rookie draft"? Remember you are passing or trading a regular turn in any round you choose for the next available spot in the "rookie draft"

Guys...this is just an idea for fun...try not to beat me to death over it ok.

Now....how about Sunday Feb 8th at 5PM EST for our initial 6 rounds?

I like the rookie idea.

Sunday the 8th would only work for me if it was after 8pm eastern. I have a charity poker event that day.

Question though?

If we are going to spread it out over a period of time, then why not save "some" rounds for later in the summer? The fun part will be discussing the stages of the draft but having a team that is decimated with injuries before the season starts is never fun.

If we did continue on this path I would ask for a supplemental auction with our bidding dollars right before the season starts to address any injury concerns? Just thinking out loud here.
