It's a lot of fun giving Route C a hard time on these boards but I'm going to have even more fun this coming week. I get to give him a hard time in person. Yes I'm going to Indy and we're getting together on Tuesday. Aren't these message boards great!

I"m looking forward to Tuesday Jeff. Maybe then you can share your sleeper QB that you will be taking in the 5th - I won't tell anyone. ;)

Wayne,

Make sure Jeff is aware that it's 6 points per passing TD. Might as well tell Jeff that Kevin Smith still plays for Detroit. ;)

Thanks,

John

When putting my strategy together I wasnt going to force ANYTHING...My 1st 3 picks were AP,MJD,than Forte..I chose the 5th pick 1st thinking MJD would be there,I was way off...

1. Fitzgerald..I really dont have to say much..100 catches 1000+ yards recieving and a monster inside the RED ZONE.This league is really turning to a Wr league and without a stud your in trouble...

2.Boldin...If you go back to my notes I clearly stated I drafted him assuming he would be somewere else.Giants,Philly, or even a trade with Cleveland with Edwards and Boldin switching teams. The value was to big to pass up.I am a huge Jennings fan and thats who I was truely targeting.

3. J Addia... I did speak to to guru's before this pick, B. Wazz and CC's and got there thoughts..Reggie Bush was there, but going in I was hoping to steal Pierre Thomas and again was off..I feel a 3rd round pick on Addia, when he's been a 5-7 1st rounder coming off a BAD year, with less competition in there backfield.Obviously health is the key....

4.Brady...Again top 7 pick last year coming off 50 Td's..Bad injury, but value there was to big to pass up...On paper I feel I have 2 stud wr's,#1 qb if HEALTHY and a good rb who can catch the rock out of the backfield...When drafting this early in the year SPECULATION and injuries are huge, but VALUE is just as big..."If you didnt go to the wedding, then don't go to the funeral."Let it rip boys.....I can't wait to hear from you guys...

Even id Boldin is still in Arizona he's a good value there.
I don't like Addai but you got him cheap.
If Brady comes close to his 07 numbers you probably win.

Jeff,

Your draft is definitely win big, lose big. You took Fitzgerald not knowing if Warner was coming back. I know Fitz is a stud but Leinart is no Warner. You took Bolding not knowing where he will be playing - can you say Oakland - lol. Addai was horrible last year and we just don't know about Brady.

This team could easily finish in last place. But, it is a winner take all league (almost anyways) and I love your start. It's definitely playing to win!

As far as the picks go, I would have gone RB in the first at the 5 spot. There were great options there and even though Fitz is a stud you will have to catch gold with a late round RB pick. I like the Boldin pick - best player available. The Addai and Brady picks fall into the huge upside catergory and I like them both. The key for Addai is his line playing better and if Brady comes back in time for camp then we all know what he's capable of.

I suspect that with your start that we won't see your team in the middle of the pack. Nice job.

Jeff, Jeff: Jeff? Jeff :D

1.05-Larry Fitz- Very Good Pick. Gore to me was the pick. But a Solid PICK and the Best WR.

2.10-Boldin- To be honest, Bad pick.

3.10-J Addia- My least favorite player. Always over rated. Never plays hurt, comes out inside the 5 yard line. Bad pick.

4.05-Brady-Love this pick. Great pick.

It also did other things as well. It made others chase and for this Jeff it made this pick unreal, and maybe helped you out the most. Giving you a better chance if you picked any other player. This pick is the only reason I like your team better than mine. You could win this League or finish 13th.

Overall Grade C+, I hope Brady plays and plays well. :D

This is a swing for the fences team...no doubt...but I don't think it has a ton of downside.

Even if these players are average... they all play on good offensive teams (time will tell for Boldin) and will get tons of opportunities.

The thing I like about this team is these 4 players alone could dominate...and...there is still a lot of time to put other good pieces on this squad in case they don't.

This team has the most upside IMO!

Wayne Your dinner just dropped to chicken soup on Tues. :D

Seriously...it's all good. I love the nay sayers. Take a look at my Chicago auction team last year.

I waited and spent around $8 on my QB's while all the paranoid owners blew an early wad on that position. I sacrificed QB so I could get guys like S.Smith..W.Welker..Portis..etc.

I didn't have Manning,Brees,Rogers,Cutler.etc..

It was nice cashing that $3350 check last week.

Oh yeah..my QB....K.Warner!

BTW...that was 6 pts for passing TD's I believe.

Ok I will take a turn at Billy's draft..
Gore-I like the pick here. He never seems to scores enough td's. Perhaps with singletary having
a full year they will run the ball more.

Steve smith-Gotta like this guy here. There is always the Delhomme issue but good pick overall.

Thomas Jones-Good value here. I am not a huge fan of jones. Wouldn't be surprised to see washington take a little more of his production this year.

Cutler-Great pick. He is going to throw the ball around a lot with mcdanials calling the shots. I wish he would have made it to me.
