There is so much money out already I just don't see a kicker run happening. But then again I didn't think Bob's defense thing would work either.

A Kicker run has to happen.
There are fewer Ks to draft than DEFs and they are more important because, unlike DEFs, they can get hurt. Mike Nugent, Lawrence Tynes, and Martin Gramatica all screwed me last year.
Since we will finish in mid-August, there will be at least 3 and as many as 5 teams that are unsettled at K. That is in addition to Ks that get injured after the season starts.
That leaves no more than 29 Ks to draft.
There have been 8 Ks drafted so far.
That leaves 21 Ks.
One team already has 3. One team already has 2. 3 teams have 1.
If no other team drafts 3 Ks, I highly doubt that will happen, there will be only be exactly enough Ks for the 3 teams with 1 K to draft another one and for the 9 teams without a K to draft 2.
Every time another team drafts 3 Ks, someone will be left with just 1 K.
And even if no one else drafts 3 Ks, some of the teams will be drafting Ks that are very iffy to hold onto their job.
So, if there is no K run, all the better for me as far as points go.
If there is a K run, all the better for me as far as money goes.
It is a win-win for me.

P.S. - The bottom 4 teams in K scoring in the $1300 Draft Champions last year all had just 1 K. 1 team drafted just 1 K and the other 3 drafted 2 Ks, but they included Nugent, Tynes, and Gramatica.
P.S. Part 2 - 4 of the 5 highest scoring teams in K scoring had 3 Ks.
P.S. Part 3 - You could be the one team that bucks the trend.
Let the K run begin !!!!

Mark,
I understand what you are saying but what I meant was that there isn't enough money left in the auction for prices to go as high as what the defenses did. Kickers are just as important as defenses or any other position.
FYI - I am all for a kicker run as well. Since I have a lot of money left, the more money that goes out at kicker, the better buys I will get elsewhere. The higher the better!

Jack,
Loves of my life:
(1) God
(2) Family
(3) DC Auctions
I have a big man-crush on DC Auctions.
I am not very confident in my ability to rank players. I don't do much player research and when I do I too often let the story on the last NFL Live sway my thinking.
I called Wayne and poked fun at a BillyWaz post a couple of months ago. I accused him of overthinking. Billy had made what seemed to me an obscure reference to some team's RB situation. Wayne didn't get why I was making fun of it and it took me a while to understand why he didn't get it.
My best analogy is that Billy is playing with the 5000 piece puzzle and I'm playing with the 9 piece. From my perspective his pieces looked too small to matter.
DC Auctions don't require as much player evaluation as a regular league. Statistical analysis can win out. If someone has both (i.e. BillyWaz, and I hate to say it...Wayne) they don't need as many breaks to win.

Luck in FF is like a game of Russian Roulette. The BWaz's of the world only have one bullet to spin - the rest of us have two. It's still mostly luck, but ...

Here's the truth about a so called "kicker run"
1)Mark wants it because he's out of money
2)Wayne and Matt want it because they have all the money.
3)Bob wants it because he's a pusher.
That leaves 11 of us to decide. Everyone throw out a kicker next week for $2 and lets see how well their plan works.... Simple.
That was free of charge!
