Ricky Williams: I'd Rather Smoke Dope Than Play Football

After defending marijuana so much and saying Bob Marley is one of his heroes, I'm thinking Snake is going to come to the draft all "doped up", and maybe he will select Ricky in the 2nd or 3rd round! ;)

"Are you a pothead Focker!?" ;)

Also, Walla Walla is right. Who the hell is going to want a guy who failed three drug tests (and used a masking agent for the other tests) to tell kids how to live?? Seriously, I go back to when Snake said "what if one of you quit your job with 2 weeks notice?" THAT IS RIDICULOUS! A professional athlete IS a role model for kids whether it be good or bad. Why do you think all the high school kids now wear wrist bands on thier biceps..... "Well Allen Iverson does"!!!!

Ricky quitting football isn't the end of the world (for us fantasy footballers), but to say his actions (to quit) are no different than anyone else is one of the most absurd things I have ever heard!

The best thing that could happen is that Ricky blows all of his $$ and ends up dirt poor. Then I want someone to interview him, and then let the public (mainly the kids) see how drugs CAN ruin your life!!!!

Bottom line is the guy has an addiction problem and he isn't strong enough to overcome it. Ricky is throwing away an incredible opportunity to do what he wants to do most right now. The bad part is that by the time he realizes the mistake he has made, it will be far too late.

People rag Barry Sanders for retiring, but almost every team in the NFL would take a shot on Barry even after being retired for (can't remember how many) years. There is no team in their right mind who will take a shot at Ricky, because he is a drug addict, and once you are that, it takes A LOT of strength to change.... and Ricky clearly doesn't have the strength to overcome it!

Snake, Easy enough. I spent 20 years in the Navy.
I went through drug testing in the Navy. Now I'm an Air Traffic Controller and I still go through drug testing. You do whats required of you if its part of the job. If you want to make it legal than go ahead and try to change the laws. But as of now its not legal and Ricky Williams is a poster child for why it shouldn't be.

The reason why pot will never be legal: The people representing the legalization for pot smoke too, and they always forget the date to go to court.

and as for me showing up "doped up" at the draft Wazass, I could simutaneously be on ludes, acid, hashish and smack and still field a team that'll kick your narrow-minded rump out of the race to the money bags...'nough said on this - snake is now gonna lay low in the grass...SNAKE [/QB]The fact you know NOTHING about my fantasy ability, yet you think you are so much better than me doesn't make you sound arrogant, cocky, or just like a jackass at all!

I stand corrected Snake, you are NOTHING like Gekko!

Snake, Being I'm the only one who posted his life experience I'll take that post for me. Snake said "life experienced neandathals".
OK snake put your life experience out for all to see. Put up or shut up. Punk!

Snake, I take a few days off and come back to find you're still quite popular with the gang over your abstract views. So let's get back to what we were talking about. You are drafting in NY and I'm drafting in Vegas. To offset the variability of league competition, we'll each pick a week, score our starting lineups, add up the scores and the loser pays the winner $10 a point for the difference. Not a lot of money but it will serve the purpose. I'm sure the weekend messed you up hearing Ricky really quit because of the dope and not to find his inner being, but give it some thought.
