Can you picture it once Suggs gets back in a game...as he's getting tackled a defender gives him a cheap shot. ouch! suggs could be done. w.green anyone?

The problem is the weakness and pain that the condition causes.
Sometimes anti-inflammatories can relieve the pressure. It seems as if that may be the case for Suggs.
If they don't and the pain and weakness persist, surgery is the other option. The procedure is not complicated and only requires an overnight stay. I suspect, however, that surgery would be a career threatening event. This condition has ended the career of several athletes.
