Things I liked most - NFFC 04

We talked about alot of changes on different threads this year. How about one that expresses to Greg and Tom all the things we really liked.

Here's a chance for us to put our differences aside to show a little appreciation.
My list includes:

1)Obviously Greg and Tom - who read through countless pages of our bull without complaining and always came through when it counted. Thanks guys!

2)Scoring system in general. I never played in one where receptions were rewarded before. Liked it alot.

3)FAAB blind bidding. Also my 1st time.

4)The job Stats did with an inaugeral event!

5)The fierceness of the competition - especially the playoffs.

6)Mannings record breaking year (even though he tanked on me in the playoffs and didn't get the record last week when I was at the game  )

7)The chance to take my game to the next level against THE BEST competitors. Looks like I've still got a long way to go.

8)The regulars on the MB - especially GG,Dyv,Tamu,BWazz and JP! :D

9)Winning the 5k and finishing respectably overall while learning this game.

10)Watching the best team win in the end and being arrogant enough to think I can be that team next year! :D

Good Idea RC

1) The auction league and the draft champions league. If your not in them ... you should consider them ... they are both well done events.

2) The message board ... MB regulars ... and Tom and Greg's involvement.

3)1 point for receptions and the balance between positions made the event much more interesting.

Thanks Greg and Tom

1- winning my league title after some really bad fortune put what seemed like a lock win in jeopary.

2- the great job by greg, tom, stats. and website

3- the well run, well organized draft

4- the blind bidding on free agents

5- the intense competition from other very good fantasy players...

6- the roster size, starting lineup, and rules seemed very good for a great event

7- seeing my head turning pick of tomlinson (being the safer pick from the #1 position)ending up to be the right move over holmes, the more explosive, but dangerous pick.

8- having a high stakes event like this give me something to think about during my work week.. this league brought fun and fulfillment well week long, and not just on weekends...

9- the active message board... though i am not much into "taunting" and talking trash.. i do like having an outlet to discuss league topics, issues.. and brainstorm ways to make these events more fun...

look forward to next season and seeing the crazy places peyton manning gets drafted from...

I want to echo all the things said in the previous thread.

I just can't believe I have to wait 217 days for the 2005 draft.

Thanks Greg and Tom

But who's counting? Your right, I am on EST, and forgot about the MB being on CST.
