NY vs Chicago Grudge Match Update

Post by Diesel » Mon Jan 16, 2006 1:05 pm

NY has officially named their 7th member of the 2006 GrudgeMatch team. Ken Manger, aka SackofPotatoes.

We'll just need to sort out a few details before draft day, but the hard part is done. Filling the league. All 14 spots are accounted for.

Total entry should be about $135.

Then tentative date for this draft is September 15th 2006.

Seriously Sack, I'm glad to have you on board. We HAVE to come back and win next year. By getting you on our side, I feel like we just signed Roger Clemens to a one year deal...lol

To use a football analogy, it's like T.O.(the player, not the idiot) signing with the Colts; the cubbard is not bare in this house, Ken.

I tried my best to keep chitown from chowing down on yet another cheap greasy chewy cheesy pizza - for their own good but to no avail. Maybe they'll wise up and order the house salad instead.

Just want to throw this out to all of the 2006 teams. Ken has come up with another excellent alternative for draft order selection by suggesting the teams designate who will draft in what spots. For alternating draw, the random draw would only be for the team who gets the #1 pick. Then the draft spots would be 1, 4, 5, 8, 9, 12, and 13 for one team and 2, 3, 6, 7, 10, 11, and 14 for the other team. We would fill in the team names and send Greg the draft order. For random draw, Greg would put the team name in each spot and then we could decide the team for each spot and send it back to him. Are there any other 2006 teams in favor of this? I like it.

Tamu, I'm all for any kind of draft format that is in the majority. So put me down as a yes as long as noone has a problem with it.

Q, I tried emailing Midas Mike 3 times and gave him 2 weeks to reply. He had first shot, but after waiting so long, I had to call in the Big Guns. No pun intended Officer Magner. :D
