NY vs Chicago Grudge Match Update

Post by TamuScarecrow » Wed Jan 18, 2006 6:16 am

I had sent MM a couple of emails to asking for an in-or-out response with no luck. If he enjoyed the format, he can jump in on the 3-city challenge as we are looking to build that into a 24 team, 2 division league.

That's going to be the difference in this league, QUA, as ALL team points are counted in this one. And I think it was Diesel who came up with the format, but don't quote me on that. Something about a lack of confidence in a couple of teams, but don't quote me on that either.

Tamu, I think I came up with the accumulative scoring for all teams, and splitting monies between all teammates. I don't know for sure who said to drop the lowest scores...

Tamu, just helping with the housekeeping, figured i'd keep the ny/chi grudge talk out of the 3 teamer... so it looks like Chitown tweaked the rules to protect their own - damn, 1 little tweak and NY would have won the Championship AND the pizza prize ! ;)

I don't know whether it was RC, Diesel, Greg, a combination of the above, or a group decision that picked the top 5 instead of 7. But we can always change the rule, QUA, if you want to get a vote out on 5-team vs. 7-team. I'll do it and add it to the spreadsheet I have put together for the previously voted items. Just so you'll know I am sending the final vote out to everyone to verify when it is complete but I'm waiting on Eddie and Glenn from NY to finish up. It would be nice to have everything sent to Greg and the draft selection done by July 1 so as to allow everyone ample time to prepare.

Tamu, if the vote is up for a decision...I'd like to put my vote up for all 14 owner's scores being accumulated next season. Let's not drop any scores.

And thanks for doing all of the "leg work" for this league...If you ever make it to NY, a few beers are on me.

I'll send an email out to everyone, Diesel, except you and QUA, whose votes I already have, and I'll send you the spreadsheet. I don't know if Eddie is up and running as Greg hopped in the other day and said he was having computer problems but I will get it out to everyone. Good thing about that is it's not a rush item to draw for draft spots.

I personally would like to keep all 14 scores this time around.

If the majority wants all 7 teams to count then the payout needs to be for 7 places that's for sure.
