I agree with Snake that he still gets Zona, SF, and Stl TWICE, and honestly behind that line, SA can do it against virtually ANY team!
That being said, the rumor is that Alexander could end up in Arizona. I personally don't believe it, but can you imagine???
Alexander's stock obviously would go down, but he would bring down Fitzgerald and Boldin's value too, because they wouldn't be passing EVERY play! These are excellent points. It will be hard for those teams to turn it around defensively in one season. The Rams have the personel to make some strides and the other 2 have a couple of great individual players but still need some major puzzle pieces.
As far as SA going to Zona - "say it aint so Joe"
That would be one of the worst off season moves for FF gamers for all the reasons you mentioned Billy.
Hey isn't this something. You,snake and I having a civil discussion about football. I kind of like it! We can pick up our rivalries as we get closer to the season. No need to have the pedal to the floor all year long.

If S. Alexander goes to any other team in the NFL, it's nobody's fault but the Seattle Seahawks. S.A. has been asking for a long term deal for over 2 years now, and has had the best start of any RB, possibly ever. His stats are un-freakin'-believable in every aspect of the game, and the fact that Seattle has made him wait this long for his well deserved paycheck is the very reason another team may scoop him up and pay him higher than any other RB in the history of the game. When the 'Hawks gave Alexander the option to take a 1 year deal last year, it opened the door for him to tear it up in 2005 as if he had a "for sale" sign on his back all year.
Whether Seattle wins the Superbowl or not, Alexander will be the winner in this situation.

After watching the Saints flounder this year I can't agree fully with the coaching change philosophy, RC. 5 years of Mike McCarthy were a lot better than one year of Mike Shepherd and like Joe Horn I don't buy into the "hurricane is the reason for all of the problems" philosophy. Just look what one year of Norv Turner did to the Raiders if you don't think coaching means something. Can it be overrated? Yes. But can it be ignored? No because coaching is either going to make players happy and want to play their best or coaching is going to p**s them off so they don't. It's called the free agency mentality and T.O. is the poster boy.

I don't think we're trying to totally ignore the impact coaching changes can have Rick. That would be foolish based on your examples. What I'm agreeing with snake about is that it can be over-rated to a degree.
If you over think the situation, as snake mentioned, there is a tendancy to over react as well. KC is a great example. If the season started today with the O-line intact, no Preist and only the coaching changes to consider.......
....it would behoove a person to remember that LJ is a major stud RB rather than dwell on the fact that Al Saunders is gone and Edwards is the new HC.
You, as well as the others on this thread already know this and we will all no doubt, take advantage of the over reactors in our individual drafts next season.

One of the more interesting coaching possibilities to me is M.Martz as the Lions OC.
It seems he had his best moments as the Rams OC.
The Lions definately have the talent to work with.

I hope Mike Martz goes to Detroit as that would upgrade their offense considerably. The only question would be how soon and with what qb.
I agree with those who will overrate coaching but who orchestrates the KC offense could have a significant impact on LJ'S production. I can see a not-so-productive LJ without two healthy all-pro tackles who are getting up in years and an offensive coordinator who doesn't go with the flow.

Imagine if KC traded Priest Holmes for a legit wide receiver? KC having a legit Wide receiver even looks funny as I write it.

Very true. LT2 has missed some playing time over the last 2 years...The year before that, though, he had 100 receptions. Which LT2 do you get?
