I'll play again, but let's be clear on this: the team prize "fund" should be handled privately and collected prior to the draft. There should be no tax implications on this money.

Here is a suggestion to solve all problems.

Each player who is signed up for this draft shall send their "prize funds" to a trusted person we all agree on(as long as he agrees to hold it, of course). That person will hold BOTH teams' collective cash until the season ends. At season's end, the person holding the cash will 1-Hold the money for his winning team until the following draft day party, OR 2-send the entire "prize fund" money to a member of the winning team of the other city that everyone agrees on.

This money will be SOLEY for a party for the following year in the city they played for. It is not for individual diversification.

This part of the Grudgematch will have NOTHING to do with Greg or Tom or the NFFC. This way, we don't drive them crazy with our "side-pot".

All members of each team will have to send their "prize funds" to the agreed person BEFORE Grudgematch draft day, or he will not be allowed to play in the grudgematch.

This will keep everyone honest.

Agreed?

Marc...I'm OK with that idea but I'd still like to explore the possibility of shipping frozen pizza. It's possible most of team Chicago will be drafting in NY or in Ricks case Florida. If that happens...there won't be enough members left to call it a party.

I do like the idea of collecting before the draft though. It's easier to remind people to send funds during the season when we're all on the MB.

Lets not make this too complicated. Last year we had a bunch of guys in the Hondem game that were not in the contest. Put an extra $10 in the entry and we can use it to buy pizza if we win. Not perfect ... but a better idea when everyone gets spread out.
