NY vs Chicago Grudge Match Update

Post by BillyWaz » Sat May 19, 2007 6:03 am

I was just thinking about this earlier this week.

I was thinking that NEXT year (08), if I were to drop any leagues, the first two to go would most likely be the Grudge and 4CC.

As for the Grudge, I like this event, but the fact that it is always held around my wife's birthday (9/12), I know it will eventually fall on it, and I don't want to inconvenience everyone by either asking to switch the date or dropping out. Everyone was nice enough to switch it last year, but I don't want to put everyone out on a yearly basis.

If the league continues I will be in, but if enough people want out, I won't be heartbroken.

I guess what I am saying is that I'm flexible either way.

Great post, Diesel. I agree with just about everything you said.

Time to move on...

Since I started this league I should probably comment. It's true this league has lost a little of the lustre with the friendships we've made in the last 2 years. Not much of a grudge any more...especially with guys wanting to draft in different locations. I have no problem dropping this satellite if the majority want to. I'll also do my best to keep it afloat...again...if the majority wants.

Let's monitor this thread and decide which direction to take after everyones had time to read and respond to this suggestion.

I've PM'ed Incredible Hulking Us, and let him know what I have put on the table here. I know this is out of the blue, but I feel in my gut that most of the league may agree with my thoughts here. If we miss this leaguethat much this year, it will make 2008 that much more fun. But my heart won't really be in this league this year if I played, since I am going to put in some serious time into trying to make a mark in the NFFC in 2007, and I need to limit the amount of leagues I enter if I fully intend to come through.

Hey Guys,

We have no problems dropping the league if you so chose, as we are always in a lot of other leagues as well. Diesel thanks for the PM I've responded and will let you know asap. Thanks guys.

I could care less either way.......Im going to take it as this league is over. And will be out of the team events.

How about doing a Dynasty league/Keeper League?

Anyone up for that? Since we all know each other. It doesn't have to be about the money, Just a league for all of us to have fun in. i think it would be the first Dynasty League In the NFFC.

So you guys down or what?

So you guys down or what? I would definitely be interested in a keeper league with some NFFC folks.
