3-City Challenge League

Post by BLACKHAND » Wed Jan 11, 2006 11:49 am

would it be possible to have a AFC and NFC to break it up and still add more teams. i would get in and i think SNAKE is ready to junp in. that would be two NY teams to add. EDDIEJAG would get in....that's three. i am sure it could get interesting.

It wouldn't hurt my feelings any, Blackhand. If we had 8-10 people from each city interested in this I could see 2 12-team or 15-team conferences. With that scenario I could see each winning team member in each conference getting back $300 and the top 2 or 3 teams from each conference battling it out for the rest of the money in a 3-week h2h or points playoff. You would have to get that many people though to make it worthwhile as I am not into 18 teams drafting for the same players. Each conference would be separate 12-team or 15-team drafts.

I was hoping Dyv would have done this last year in the LBS/World league where we had two team events going on at the same time. He probably would have if he wasn't such a busy and important man. :D

UFS and RedRyder, any thoughts if this grows into a two conference league? I know all Snake cares about is whether BWAZZ gets in or not and Eddie is looking at the individual money being the "shark" and money maker that he is in this. :D

Scarecrow, no questions right now.
Fine if it grows. Whatever you decide, I look forward to it.

if this goes down please count me in. we would need 10 teams per city. this would be two 15 team divisions. (5 teams per city). 12 week sprint , then say the top 3 point leaders in eack coference makes playoffs and carry over point average for week 13 , 14 , 15 playoffs. if it was 300 per team you would have a 9,000 pot

1st...3,500
2nd...2,000
3erd..1,100
4th...900
5th..800
6th...700

numbers could of course be changed , i just had time to kill.

Would lean more toward paying 3 places but would keep it at $200 as advertised. Plus you have to remember the team aspect of this. Half of the money is going back to the winning teams ($300 X 10) and then you're looking at $2800 for individual payouts with $1900 to the winner, $650 for 2nd and $250 for 3rd. All of this will be worked out based on interest. The numbers up above are good for the 12-team league and if this thing mushrooms out, the payouts will adjust as well. But I like your thinking, Blackhand. Just keep thinking big. Let's get 12 first, then we can shoot for 30. I need a beer as I'm starting to sound like Greg.

...SNAKE Snake,

Not even sure if I will have time to get in this league, but the facts are facts;

LAST 2 YEAR TOTALS IN ALL NFFC GAMES;

Snake's money invested - $2,500
Snake's money won - $500

Snake's total - MINUS $2,000 :(

BillyWaz money invested - $4,625
BillyWaz money won - $6,625

BillyWaz total - PLUS $2,000 :D

(plus a free jersey from winning the Champs league)

Perhaps saying "easy ca$$$$$$h for Snake" is a tad premature???

FACTS ARE FACTS!

Tamu,
I'm all for this wacky little 3-city go around that you're proposing. I would just like to get up to speed on set-up, scoring, rosters, the whole dilly if you don't mind posting what you have in mind. I know that there are plenty of NFFC ballers here in Los Angeles/Southern Cali', that would more than hold their own against the rest of you pizza pies out in the NYC and Chi-Town. You did know that to us left-coasters, Las Vegas is really just considered part of L.A., right?!? It takes just as long to get to Vegas, as getting from one end of Los Angeles to the other during rush hour traffic. Anyway, Ponch & John are definitely down for a go in your beautiful 3-city plan. Just hit us with some preliminary info man.
Thanks,
Ponch
