I know you have what you want in mind, but have you ever considered making the draft an auction one? Greg and Tom have the capabilities to allow this to happen on MDC. I am not sure what others think, but I would love to have this draft done with the auction format.

As far as how the season is played out, I could care less. Pts for the year, H2H with playoffs, etc... doesn't matter to me at all. Any thoughts on making this an auction as it would definitely add even more to what is fast becoming a great league??

Snake...I forgot about playing everyone once works perfect for a 13 week regular season and playoffs to follow. Once the season starts it's best not to give anyone reason to b!tch (as if we need a reason)...It seems best to play every team once and then 6 teams make the playoffs with either H2H like the auction leagues... or total points + average weekly points like the main event.

Also my thoughts on BBDS are to wait at least until August 1. I'm anxious for FF too but getting draft slots this early has no benefit. With mini-camps...training-camp...love boats...and nightclubs...too much can happen to players before our draft as it is. the last thing I want to do is make a bad decision WAAAAAAY earlier than I need to. I'll go with the majority on this but probably won't bid any $$$ if we do it this soon...so if you want LJ/SA/LT and want one less person to compete with then by all means do it tomorrow............................

GLY...I love auctions but have always been worried about glitches doing it online. There are enough issues with a serpentine draft online (getting booted, computer selecting wrong players,etc..) so I wonder how to deal with these issues during an auction. What if I'm bidding on a player and lose my connection. At least with serpentine I've got time before my pick or I can have a pre-selected list set up just in case.
Not against it - just have no experience with it.

BTW GLY....Snake advertised this as a BBDS draft so an auction wouldn't work unless that was thrown out. Personally that's a big bonus in this league that I'd prefer to keep.

I would think, JJ, you couldn't do the blind bidding until T&G get the league set up in STATS. This is the way it worked in GEKKO II last year as RC can confirm, but Snake can request a date for the draft slots to be filled and T&G can get back with him to let them know if that date is possible.

I have told RC on many occasions that I would love to get the "usual suspects" together for an auction, but I agree with RC that it would have to be LIVE. Just can't trust computers these days.

Next year, if a few of us "Chicago people" go to NY, that could be ONE HELL of an auction! Diesel, Johnny, Sack, Eddie, BillyWaz, RC, etc. (don't know who else might go), but that could be a lot of fun! Not that the Chicago one isn't, but it would be combining the BEST of both cities.

Disclaimer: I didn't include Snake, as I don't believe he has signed up for the auction, and not quite sure if he has ever done one.

I think it might be a tad overwhelming for him!

Speaking of Snake, where the hell is he hiding today. It's closing in on the noon hour and nary a peep from the scaley one. Should we call 911 or animal control?
