3 City draft order (mock)

Post by BillyWaz » Mon Feb 20, 2006 5:03 am

No school today and the kids went to the Science Museum with their grandparents (yes, I am making excuses why I did this! ;) )

I put 15 pennies with different dates in a hat and assigned each person a date. I then asked my wife to help pick out the pennies. She said "does this have to do with football?"... I just walked away.

Anyhow, since we are all eagerly waiting, I thought it might be fun to see how I drafted the order. I will put them in the order they were picked, and then how they would "fall in" due to our league rules;

1) UYT- Mike Ferre (Chicago)
2) BillyWaz (Chicago)
3) Red Ryder (Vegas)
4) SNAKE (NY)
5) UFS (Vegas)
6) Ponch (Vegas)
7) Scarecrow (Chicago)
8) GOD Loves You (Chicago)
9) Gekko (Vegas)
10) RI Workhorse (NY)
11) KJ Duke (Vegas)
12) Blackhand (NY)
13) Diesel (NY)
14) Route Collectors (Chicago)
15) Eddie Gillis (NY)

Here is how it would "fall in";

1) UYT-Mike Ferre (Chicago)
2) Red Ryder (Vegas)
3) SNAKE (NY)
4) BillyWaz (Chicago)
5) UFS (Vegas)
6) RI Workhorse (NY)
7) Ponch (Vegas)
8) Scarecrow (Chicago)
9) Blackhand (NY)
10) GOD Loves You (Chicago)
11) Gekko (Vegas)
12) Diesel (NY)
13) KJ Duke (Vegas)
14) Route Collectors (Chicago)
15) Eddie Gillis (NY)

Obviously these aren't the true results, but I thought they were interesting and would create for some discussion while we are waiting!

ENJOY! :D

Actually, the funniest thing was I had a dream the other night that I got the 4th spot. :eek:

I also have a feeling you are long overdue for a top 5 pick! (at least that is what Cleo told me for only $2.99 per minute! )

Speaking of Draft Spots, I happened to stumble across an OLD message from someone who wasn't too happy with a draft spot that actually turned out pretty well for him. ;)

I go away for the weekend and come back to pick# 13. Ouch. Should set up for an entertaining draft. Good luck gentlemen.

Is this how the draft order is gonna take place? In lots of 3?

And if so, when did this occur?

Just wondering because I suggested it a while ago and was told it was random after the first 3 picks.

Just curious

Here is the latest and greatest league set-up:

Draft date: Sun, August 27 or Tues, August 29

Draft selection order: each city will get a draft spot in picks 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12, and 13-15.

Fee: $200

League with one division:

# of weeks: 16 weeks

Individual Winner: total points

Team Winner: 5-team total points

Individual Prize:
$1000 to winner
$350 for 2nd

Team Prize: $300 per winning team

League with two 15-team divisions:

# of weeks: 13 weeks w/3-wk playoff

Individual Winner: total points w/3-wk playoff
- top 3 point leaders in each division take their 13-wk average into the playoffs. This should be wild with shared players.

Team Winner: 5-team total points w/3-wk playoff between the team winners in each division. All 10 teams would take their 13-wk average into the playoffs. Lots of shared players here as well.

Individual Prize:
$1750 to winner
$ 500 for 2nd
$ 350 for 3rd
$ 250 for 4th

Team Prize:
$350 per team playoff winners
$250 per team playoff losers

Shirts for individual and team winners paid for by losers. I will get a cost of these from Greg and divide it by 15 or 30 to get a cost to add to the fee. Should be no more than $15.

Rosters, lineups, scoring, and FA ($1000 to start the season) the same as in the NFFC main event. FA will either run through 16 weeks or we will add a roster spot for the playoffs to be filled with FA for Week 14 by playoff teams.

TEAM ROSTERS:
AFC Division
VEGAS
Red Ryder
UFS
Ponch and John
GEKKO
KJ Duke

CHICAGO
God Loves You
BillyWaz
Route C
Tamuscarecrow
Squishy Red Tomatoes

NY
Snake
THE_BLACKHAND
Eddiejag
RI WORKHORSE
Diesel

Any questions so far, gentlemen, and Snake, if you have a question or comment, PM me and don't put it on here as I'm wanting constructive chat before we get the draft selection show on the road. Don't worry about 15 teams, UFS, as Greg has assured me he can handle whatever I give him.

I changed it, GLY, as your suggestion made perfect sense as the only equitable way to do it. I could just hear Team NY now after getting picks 3, 12, 13, 14, and 15.

Nice job with the penny picking! 2nd is A-OK by me. Now, when is the real deal coming?
