Fantasy Football World Rankings Released

Post by therealdeal » Tue Sep 05, 2006 2:17 am

This just proves that it's a lot easier to insult somebody's work than to actually do the work. You all who poke fun at it are pathetic.

Words of advice: if you don't have anything constructive to say, then just shut it.
Low stakes leagues are a thing of the past.

2005 NFFC

186Team Del Pilar William Del Pilar
134FootballDiehards.com Robert Zarzycki
1203INTBOY Louis Tranquilli

"Top" Fantasy Football Players???....these 3 are in the top 10, yet they can't finish in the top 100 for the regular season in the NFFC?? I understand people have down years, but to somewhat dominate the ***** and then get dominated in the NFFC, well it should tell you something.

Those rankings are beyond laughable; only a few "industry experts" and based largely off the ***** rankings, what a joke. There's so much dead money in that contest it's scary.

Instead of ranking the players from the playground, how about entering the actual stadium where the game is "really" played!

Can't wait to see how the "best in the world" finish in the NFFC this year.

OK ... Why not find out who the crossover members are from both events to find out which event of the three is the hardest. Then put a ranking system together regarding the three leagues and run it through scrutiny on the MB's of all three leagues. This would at least have some shot at some level of acceptance.

Oh yea, that would require WORK on your part. Someone might offer constructive critism ... but at this point ... no one know's what the ____ your doing ... so it's stupid!

If I make up a list and claim it's the world rankings ... what gives your list any more credibility then yours?

I'll let my list stand at 5 for now.

Sorry about the last post ... didn't mean to hurt your feelings. I hope this one is more helpful.

Wow,

I am not on either list.

Winning the NFFC championship isn't enough.

You guys are tough.

Jason I almost gave you the "if you don't have anything nice to say" speach ... but instead ... I'll take this as constructive critism.

Instead of ranking the players from the playground, how about entering the actual stadium where the game is "really" played! How do you know? Have you drafted in the WCOFF? To say that one league or the other has a better caliber of Drafter is nonsense.I understand your frustration BUT this list is only the top 100 WCOFF'ers. If this is your main point I agree. I don't know why he even posted his list on this board.

I know by looking at results. What I posted should speak for itself. Teams finish in top 10% in *****, yet the finish in the top 50-70% in the NFFC???

All I was saying is if these players are the best in the world, how are they finishing in this low in the NFFC???

I highly doubt the Steelers, Broncos, Seahawks, Panthers, etc... would finish in the middle of the standings in the CFL.

And no, I have yet to draft in the *****, not a big fan of having to pay for events fees, even if I don't attend. And not excited about organizations only paying out approx 60% in satellite leagues. And after playing in 14 team leagues, find the 12 teamers too easy.

Like I said, check out the performance of those dominating the 12 teamers, a lot falter in the 14 team leagues. Results, Results, Results are speaking for themselves....and I am sure they will again this season.

I agree with this ... but to post this list on the NFFC and expect people on this message board to be impressed with his list is more amazing yet. I will also add that If someone did this with NFFC rankings and omitted the WCOFF I would be exactly as hard on him for omitting the WCOFF and calling it the world rankings (and by your responce ... you probably agree). Call it alternate WCOFF rankings if you want. But to call it the "World Rankings" and mention it includes the WCOFF, the NFFC and the AFFL and only include the WCOFF players is just stupid or arragont or both IMHO.

You want people to believe that you wouldn't enter an event that is EASIER to win 200k because you'd rather be in a harder contest? Because of an events fee? One that in many cases is waived? That seems like a no-brainer, even with the events fee.

[/QUOTE]UYT, it's not like he's getting a lot of support on the wcoff board, either. He left off quite a few people that should be on it. Now he claims it was due to not being able to get good information, and he gets angry people are criticizing his efforts. Even though he asks for feedback on the site where the list is posted, he evidently only wants praise. I will say it has gotten people talking about it, though.

Oh, and sorry I missed you in Chicago. Every time I came by your table the 9 spot was open.
