Ugly,
That is my point. In the past is was VERY predictable how the first two and even three rounds would go. Now I do not think it will be. I think many people will come into the event with different ideas as to what the right approach is.
See you're thinking that the better receivers will shift to the backend of the draft might make many focus on RB's in the first round because of it. This is my point, it wont be as easy to predict. After the 3rd round the picks will only differ in that they will be made to fill the gaps on teams who picked heavy with WR or RB in rounds 1-3.
I do not think there will be massive differences, I just think we likely will have more owners coming into the event with differing schools of thought that we had previously. I am not saying anything is complicated, I just think it will be less predictable as to what people do and how they build their team. I think you will see much more deviation in how the picks come off from board to board then in the past.

Ugly Big Mike Tomatoe throwing dude...(possible new MB moniker )
Preparation starts with projections so in that regard I'll agree nothing changes. Middle picks 7/8 and to a lesser degree 5/9 won't be effected much although 1 or 2 spots might cost you a player you had personally targeted.
I agree with your commentary on the runs switching ends which should help teams (in theory) at the 12/13/14 from getting shut out.
I'm not buying into the more predictable school of thought just yet. Granted..I haven't thought this through completely but initially I visualize more possible "outs" drafting at either end than there was before. Maybe now more players will be drafted by owners who REALLY wanted them but hesitated in the past because of ADP.
Example from 2006: In the 3rd round of slot 3 I really liked Houshmandzedeh. Although a good player general consensus (sp?) said it was too early. I took Gates instead. Don't know how that might've helped/hurt my team but with the 3RR Housh is on my team...easy decision.
This is what I think will change the most...for me at least. I see this helping more owners draft balanced teams.
One small prediction for 2007. The first 3 years of the NFFC have seen an average of 21 RB's taken with the first 28 picks. I predict in 2007 that average # will go up to 23 with more than one league drafting 26 of 28.
How's that for sticking my neck out!

You mean like ... will P Manning go in the first round, the second round or the third? Oh yea ... he did that this year ... he went in all three.
Will someone pick two WR's in the first two rounds? (thats less likely now ... by the way)?
It really doesn't change much if a late pick starts out WR RB or RB WR ... that occures now.
The top 42 picks are still the top 42 picks!!!
You will see guys move 12 to 15 spots up and down ... even in the early rounds like we did in 2006.
It's funny how you don't think draft position is a significant advantage ... yet mixing up the the draft position non-significant advantage is now something to be contended with ... lol ... your killing me here!
I understand KoQ's position better because he thinks Draft position is significant.

Swammy apprentice Jeff By pick 42 ... it's the same player's. Within that 42 ... I could see shifts.
... but I think your wrong about the RB's. I think this gives every late drafter a riskless shot at a top WR (unless they decide go 3 RB's).
If not the first pick will grab a top WR and risk 2 RB's at 42 43 ... IMO

I agree with Jeff that RB's will probably fly off the board even quicker now.
The top 10-15 WR's IMO could all be shuffled up in MANY different orders IMO. Quick (without looking), who is the 2nd highest WR in points scored going into Week 17????.......
Chad Johnson??
Marvin Harrison???
Reggie Wayne???
Terrell Owens????
NOPE.....
DONALD DRIVER!
I think the back end will be much more desirable as you could get 2 "nice" RB's, and a top 5 WR also.
I DO see Manning still going in the 2nd round of most drafts, and wouldn't be shocked at all if Brees and Palmer were not far behind (early 3rd?)
As usual, I can't wait, but I will keep my addiction going by playing the playoff game!
Probably true...but those players are going to different teams which will make the rosters somewhat different. With any change...the savvy owner will make it work to his/her advantage if possible.
BTW...will you be changing your MB moniker?

BTW...will you be changing your MB moniker?
Actually ... the teams are all different now. Players are shifting 12 to 15 spots in the first rounds of the main. I can't see the middle picks passing on the top WR's if they are available in the second ... I know the LT2 owners won't ... expecially with two picks at 42 and 43.
If I thought you and Billy were right ... How great would it be to pick 14th and 15th ... get two good RB's and then still get a top 5 WR ... it might happen in one fluke league ... but that would be the exception like P Manning going in the third round this year. Why would the 8th pick pick any differently ... a lot of the top WR's went to the middle picks.

We thought he was a value ... we didn't expect him to be that good.
