DC Super Satellite Details
I recieved the official word from Greg to move forward with this. I (and others) are in too many leagues already that require daily/weekly maintenance. But, I have room for more Draft Champion leagues, and I also have an appetite for turning a small entry fee into a large prize.
Here's the details so far:
Draft Date/Time
Tuesday, Sept 4th at 7pm EST (tentative)
Entry Fee
$300/team
Teams
28 in one league (after the drafts). We will expand this to 42 teams if the interest is there. But, the first 28 teams to sign up are guarenteed to be in.
Play format
Draft Champions with 3RR
Draft
Two drafts would be held simultaneously on mockdraftcentral. Each draft would be comprised of 14 teams. After the drafts were over, all 28 teams would be put in the same league! WOOOHOOO!! Super Satellite time!! [Greg will check to see if STATS can list all teams in the same league page]
Draft Slots
Determined by bidding some of your team's future points. If you are successful in securing a draft slot by bidding points, those points will be deducted from your team’s total at the start of the season. Obviously some teams will start out with negative points.
This is how it would work; everyone would submit their bids to Greg via e-mail. (Only one e-mail to Greg per owner please). Greg will evaluate all of the bids he receives. For example, suppose the highest bid out of all 28 owners was 55 points. That owner would receive that draft slot and their season point total would begin at minus 55 (-55), instead of 0. Greg would remove that owner from future draft slot consideration. Greg would continue the evaluations by determining which owner bid the next highest amount (let’s say 50 points). That owner would receive that draft slot and their season point total would begin at minus 50 (-50), instead of 0. Greg continues the evaluation until all draft slots are awarded or there are no more bids to evaluate. Owners not bidding on a draft slot will receive a random draft slot from the remaining draft slots. Those teams will begin the season with 0 points (as they normally would). I'll post more detailed bidding instructions as the draft gets closer.
PRIZES
28 teams @ $300/team
1st $4000. Ya boy!!!!
2nd $2000
3rd $1000
42 teams @ $300/team

4th $1000
Please post in this thread if you are 100% certain you want in the league or if you have any questions. thanks.

If you're talking about the very last week of August, Monday and Tuesday work (8/27 and 8/28) for me, but nothing else.
The Tuesday after the Main would work also (sandwiched right in between two fantasy jungle drafts )

Would be interested, but can not do it Sept. 4th (Snake..whatever League). Also, $275. seems an odd amount, why not consider $300. and raise 1st prize to $4000. with 28 teams and in the 42 team scenario raise 1st prize to $5000. and 2nd prize to $3000. But if the draft is Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday 8/27-8/29 would like to participate.

Oh, that is right Gekko, you would be competing against the Snake Classic which means a few quality owners couldn't do it that day.

if everyone is fine with $300, i can make it that. prizes would go up accordingly, but increasing it $25 for every person only adds ~$580 to the prize pool.

hopefully snake will be able to change his date.
