This news is on a personal note. A few af you know that it's been a really tough year for my family financially. After building a new home and moving in last November I also switched careers in January. It seemed like a perfect plan...sell the old house and use some of the proceeds to supplement my income while getting started in my real estate career.

Didn't count on a slow market that's also seen my home sit unsold for 10 months now. It's amazing what a few bad months can do to a mans psyche. Anyway..I thought I had it all under control. All of my investment capital is in real estate...hence...slow market....hard to liquify.

I can't state enough what kind of stress that has brought on...2 mortgages ,utilities, maintainance etc.. It makes a guy want to jump off a cliff some days.

Needless to say being in the NFFC has appeared bleak but I was still hoping something would break. Last weekend I sold one of my rentals and also sold another home as well.Hooooooooooooooray!

This is the 1st time in months that I could take a breath. The great thing about my rental is it's a cash sale, which means we can close much quicker. The reason I posted all of this is because I wanted to thank a few people who have been tremendous friends to me throughout all of this.

Two people in particular have been along for the entire ride...Marc "Diesel Daddy" and Billy Wazz. A few others including Snake and TK have also spoken kind words and offered their help and friendship.

Fantasy football is great and you guys know what a die hard I am but I want to say this. If I had to choose between FF and your friendship....my playing days would be over. Thanks guys...you'll never know what the last few months have meant to me to have you as friends.

BTW...my other house is still for sale if anyone's moving to Indy. :D

That is great news about selling another house as I didn't know about that one!

Good to hear that things are on the 'up and up', and now we can focus on teaming up in the that 2 player Main event concept you had!

Great news buddy, and hopefully that house gets sold soon. Anthony Gonzalez is new to town, maybe you could give him a call!

Route C,

I went through the same thing this past year in Evansville - 2 mortgage payments for almost 18 months. It can eat you lunch fast. I sell real estate in Evansville and we probably have a very similiar market to yours. I wish you the best with your home sale.

Wayne Thanks Wayne! Good luck to you as well...both in real estate and the NFFC. How long have you been in real estate? I've been a custom home builder for 20+ years prior to switching to real estate.

I've been doing alot of prospecting and open houses this summer. I hope it begins to pay off soon.

Nice to hear Route C. Sometimes you just have to sit and wait for your pitch. Next up a slew of hanging breaking balls, rather than life breaking your balls !

The real estate market was a slow-moving train wreck that could be seen about 2-3 years in advance.

Nice to hear, Route C!

My sister has been sitting on a house out here in California for months and months as well. (San Jose)

They "sold" it, and purchased a home in San Ramon (a very nice house)...then they get told the San Jose "buyers" could no longer qualify...thus no sale, and two mortgages etc.

Every month that passes puts the squeeze on their savings big time.

F-it! It's only money...the bridge thoughts are a no-go. Good to hear things are getting under control!
