Okay, thanks for all the feedback on the NFFC satellite leagues. The schedule is set (although we could add some things) and the game format is set. Here's the details:

WHAT: NFFC SATELLITE LEAGUES

WHEN: August 17-18 and Aug. 22-26

WHO: All NFFC and non-NFFC members are eligible to participate

WHERE: We will do all of the online drafts on Mock Draft Central.com. All of the satellite leagues will then be run by STATS on the NFFC site and you will have separate links to these teams under "My Teams" here. We will allow 90 seconds per pick per team.

HOW: The rules will be uploaded soon, but each league will follow the same NFFC scoring and draft format. They will be 14-team serpentine drafts, 18 rounds, with $1,000 in-season FAAB budgets. Teams will start 10 players per week and we will keep head-to-head and total points records.

PLAYOFFS: For the $100 leagues where the winner gets a 2006 NFFC free entry, we'll just use total points and award the top team after 16 weeks. For all of the other leagues, we'll use the NFFC scoring format where the h2h champion and the next three highest scoring teams will advance to the playoffs. Those four teams will carry their weekly scoring average from the regular season into the playoffs and then add their totals from Weeks 14, 15 and 16 to determine the first through third money finishers.

We'll have four levels of online games, each paying just individual league prizes. They will include $100 entry fees, $250 entry fees, $500 entry fees and $1,000 entry fees. Payouts are from 83% to 89% of total entry fees in prizes.
Here's the proposed levels and payouts:

$100 Entry Fee League
1st: Free Entry In 2006 NFFC
89% payback, rewarding total points leader through 16 weeks of action

$250 Entry Fee League
1st: $1,950
2nd: $700
3rd: $250

$500 Entry Fee League
1st: $4,000
2nd: $1,400
3rd: $500

$1,000 Entry Fee League
1st: $8,000
2nd: $3,000
3rd: $1,000

Wednesday, August 17th:
8 p.m. EST: $100 league
8 p.m. EST: $75 Draft Champions (1st free entry into DC in 2006, 2nd $150, 3rd $75)

Thursday, August 18th:
7 p.m. EST: ????
8 p.m. EST: $250 league
9 p.m. EST: ????

Monday, August 22nd:
7 p.m. EST: $100 league
7 p.m. EST: $250 league

Tuesday, August 23rd:
7 p.m. EST: $100 league
7 p.m. EST: $500 league
8 p.m. EST: $250 league

Wednesday, August 24th:
7 p.m. EST: $1,000 league
8 p.m. EST: $100 league
8 p.m. EST: $500 league

Thursday, August 25th:
7 p.m. EST: $250 league
7 p.m. EST: $500 league
8 p.m. EST: $100 league

An official NFFC Satellite League registration page will be posted soon. Contact Greg Ambrosius at [email protected] to officially sign up for any of these anytime and we'll hold off running the credit cards until we've filled up the leagues. I am only doing 1-2 leagues per event per night as we want to do these right and make sure they go off without a hitch. We'll expand in future years if all goes well.

Any chance (if majority wished) of getting the $1,000.00 league to go simply points based...no H2H, No playoffs???

I know I requested a DraftChampions satellite, but I completely forgot about going out of town. Any chance of moving the DC (or a $100 satellite) to August 16th?
