Favre Retires !!!!!!!!!!!

Post by TamuScarecrow » Tue Mar 04, 2008 5:20 am

Grant just went from late first or early second pick to much later in the second or early third. Saw McNabb at Disney World last weekend and he is looking sharp and ready to go. Can't see Philly getting rid of him except for a deal that can't refuse. Now if the Saints can just grab Javon, life could be good again. :D

IMO Grant was a Top 10 pick with Favre. Now I'd guess he may even slide to 2nd round. He'll produce but not at per game/per touch level he did/would have with Brett.

Edit to add- Right now I don't think I'd take Grant until late 2nd round...he's probably slid about 1 full round with this news to me.

I think Driver loses the most of the WRs. I wouldn't touch Driver next year..he'll be drafted too early.

From a friend of mine at another board "Last wk I heard an interview with McNabb and he was giddy. The dj said "he must know something we don't." I honestly think he expected to have Moss in Philly. "

Driver wasn't worth a damn THIS year. I think Jennings became the apple of Favre eye when healthy.

IMO none of the WRs will be worth taking before the 3rd round as it stands now.

The Saints LB core has been like a college team since the days of Rickey Jackson!

Being a Bears fan it was tough seeing Favre beat the Bears a few times over the years, but like everyone else I am sad to see him retire.

The guy was as tough as they come, as we will never see another qb play that many consecutive games. Thanks for all the memories Favre!

Now maybe the Bears have a chance in the NFC north this year.. :D

A sad, sad day indeed for football fans everywhere.

CONSIDERABLE downgrades for Driver, Jennings, J.Jones, and Lee.

I still think Grant hasn't lost much value, and should still be productive. I AGREE 100% BILLY. LIKE I SAID LAST NO PAKCER RECEIVER WAS EVER GOOD WITHOUT FAVRE. PEOPLE WERE TRYING TO RIDE THE JAVON WALKER TRAIN BUT HE IS JUNK ALSO.

NEXT YEAR WILL SHOW HOW MUCH DRIVER AND JENNINGS WERE GREAT WITH FAVRE.

FAVRE WILL BE ONE OF THE ONLY QB'S IN THE HALL OF FAME WITHOUT ONE HALL OF FAME RECEIVER EVER.
