marc , is there a chance that you can set this up for the college bowl games only. there has to be 25 games and action almost every night. if you start it now i would think there could be 150 players.

Guys, anyone who wants to run the college football share pool, you have my blessing to start it up and run it. I wouldn't do it for a number of reasons.

1-I don't watch college football.

2-I'm extremely busy with the 7-8 Fantasy Football leagues I'm in, that require starting lineups/free agent pickups...etc...

3-I'm working 6 days a week, 70 hours...I'm shot.

I will run this NFL Share Pool every year. No problem there. But once the NFL season starts, I'm all booked up for a few months. Good luck with the college pool.

Well, it's time for me to make my move in the Diesel pool!

I have wagered 2900 shares, all of 'em, on 2 picks this weekend.

1900 on my lock of the year.
1000 on what I see as an easy win on the total.

If I win both, I'll be at 5800 going into Sunday night's game.

We'll see...
2008- Didn't finish last overall in the Classic.
2009- Didn't finish last overall in the Classic or Primetime.

I sent a PM to kapefear with all of the info to start a college football share pool. Good luck guys.

As far as non-replies, it's a VERY tough thing to do, starting a pool. I have done 13 run baseball pools in the past. That alone, brought in around 40 people. It's a hobby that usually does well by word of mouth...So it's very tough to get a good number of participants in your first pool.

Whoever runs it, I'd say to expect 20 people. If the pool runs well, 20 turns into 40-50...Try and think small first.

I'm very sure that the NFL pickem pool will have 150+ next season, and there's a slight chance that it could go through the roof with a number that could surprise everyone. But that's because I've been doing pools for a few years now and once people know they're getting paid immediately, you gain their trust. Rob Bennetti runs a bunch of pools too. His friends, merging with my friends, and the NFFC boards are how we get such a large number. And the only legal way to d oit, is if you're doing it strictly for fun and not to make a profit from it as a commissioner.

I hope this helps you guys.

Now back the NFL...I think Denver/SF/GB and Minnesota are the way to go this week. I'm not just saying this to mess with your heads. Or am I?

Hey Raiders, just saw the message you posted. What's the question?
Projection 2010: Either winning my Classic LV/Chicago Dual League, or making it to the Catalina Wine Mixer.
