Now at 5.14 Who would YOU draft at this spot?
Welcome veteran and potential NFFC football fans. Time to start getting ready for FF and drafts and so often we all see mock drafts or industry drafts where we really wonder who was picking or why.
SO....my idea (not new but new to NFFC boards) is to get the input of ALL of you on a "live" mock draft that is done pick by pick.
Here is the plan - I will put up players to be voted on at each draft position, from 1.01 through the end of eighteen rounds.
YOU will post your vote of those suggested and/or suggest an additional player that YOU would take there. If you are inclined you can also add any comments about the decision between those players or why you think your pick is the correct one.
Let's see what the CONSENSUS draft picks are of this group and get some solid FF comments and questions here.

Now at 5.14 Who would YOU draft at this spot?
Pick for 1.01 -
I am going to start with a tighter range here as in almost all serious mocks or paid drafts these have been the choices..... would you draft
a)Adrian Peterson, MIN
or
b) Maurice Jones-Drew, JAX
or
c) Matt Forte, Chicago?
Please post your vote and any comments, projections or other words of wisdom you would like to share.

Perry I'm assuming we are uing NFFC scoring rules.
ADP- safest of the bunch, should see more scoring opportunities with Favre and possibly even more with Sage.

2008- Didn't finish last overall in the Classic.
2009- Didn't finish last overall in the Classic or Primetime.

Russ, yes NFFC scoring, lineup and roster rules.
...and btw my vote is also ADP

AP.
Among other reasons, I would like to see Forte & MJD perform to the level of a #1 overall pick before I put them in that spot, & if Queen Favre comes back this should increase AP's rushing yds & TD's.

In the NFFC it is VERY close as to who I would take, and although AP has a GREAT playoff schedule, I gotta go with MAURICE JONES-DREW.
With no Fred Taylor, the sky's the limit.

so far the votes are
ADP - 4
MJD - 1
Forte - 0
First draft spot and a Friday so we will leave the polls open - I would like to get a decent size group to continue, but you can come in and out if you miss a slot, just go to the next one....

MJD doesn't enter the equation for me. He's already stated a few times how he's still going to split carries. He's a stud player, but not a RB to carry the load himself. With that said, I think people are sleeping on Rashad Jennings.
Peterson is the most talented by far. In fact, he's done things I haven't seen many runners do. I wish he would learn to run out of bounds instead of fighting for an extra yard or two. If I knew he was going to do this, to save his body from the extra pounding, he's my #1, hands down.
Forte, what a talent. I enjoyed watching him play last season. I love how he is THE man and how they use him in the passing game. He caught many passes because he's a good receiver and they designed plays for him, not because of the limited Orton(like many believe). The addition of Cutler should give him many more scoring opportunities.
I've actually told a few people I would seriously consider Forte with the #1 pick, but Peterson is to talented pass on. He really is a special player, a once in a few decades type. They will probably be very close at the end of the season, but I gotta go with All Day.
Sorry MJD and fans of MJD, I just don't see him finishing as a top 3 back this year.
