Safest 1st round pick
Peterson doesn't get the catches (so far) and splits time with Chester Taylor
Jones Drew never had more that 200 carries in an NFL season. Having been an owner of him in past years, I know he gets nicked up even when splitting time.
M.Turner gets zippo catches
M.Forte is seemingly pretty safe, although he's had a bad hammy this offseason.
I gotta go with Fitzgerals being the safest first round pick. He's going to put up great numbers this year. He's still young and improving. He's the future of Arizona. Guy tore up the playoffs.
He does split looks with Boldin, until Boldin is injured, quits, etc...
Also if Warner ever went down he has a decent backup in Lionheart.
A.Johnson doesn't get redzone looks and when schaub goes down (like he has EVERY season), he'll have orslutsky throwing the rock
Moss could be in for a great season, however if Brady isn't the Brady of two years ago, those plans go out the window. if brady went down to injury, moss will struggle to be top 20 this year.

Safest 1st round pick
If Warner goes down, Fitzgerald is NOT a 1st round pick.
The point is you can find questions about health, playing time, receptions, schedule etc with EVERY single player.

Safest 1st round pick
As crazy as this may sound, what if you have pick 11 and just pass or skip your pick so you get two 2nd rounders? I'm just saying.

fitz is a lock to be a top 10 wr. most likely top 5 even if warner goes down.

Top 10 WR does not make him a first round pick

Safest 1st round pick
i said he's the SAFEST. i didn't say that he would finish as a first round pick.
RB's are notorius for losing first round value during the year. look at how many first round RB's that faltered. last year these RB's were first rounders:
1. LaDainian Tomlinson (RB, SD) 1.05 22
2. Adrian Peterson (RB, Min) 2.41 22
3. Brian Westbrook (RB, Phi) 2.82 22
4. Steven Jackson (RB, StL) 4.77 22
5. Joseph Addai (RB, Ind) 5.77 22
6. Marion Barber (RB, Dal) 6.95 22
7. Frank Gore (RB, SF) 7.55 22
8. Marshawn Lynch (RB, Buf) 11.50 22
9. Clinton Portis (RB, Was) 12.82 22
how many are first rounders this year? FOUR OUT OF NINE!!!
look how many NEW first round RB's we have this year. forte, jones-drew, c.johnson, slaton, d.williams. the turnover of RB from year to year is pretty good if you look at the #'s.
Fitz is the SAFEST first round player that can have a monster season and at the worst have a pretty damn good year.

Safest 1st round pick
you can't win your draft in the first round, but you can hit a landmine and lose it. Fitz keeps you in the game baby!!
