Your right Billy on the Brad Johnson play.

You'll never hear me say it SHOULD be any different that what I'm suggesting. A QB has caught is own pass more than once over the years. Is rare but it happens. Whats weak about it?

So when Rashied Davis falls on the ball in the end zone who gets the points for the TD?

I guess the defense should.

Its never made sense to me why a team gets TO points when the offense is on the field but thats a whole new topic.

I know you are a Bush owner to. BTW, who were your top 4 picks that some mentioned?
Your comparing getting DOUBLE points every time there is a kick return TD to a once in a lifetime play. That makes your argument weak.

Bush had two Return TD's in ONE game, there hasn't been two QB catch-his-own-pass TD's in two decades.

You're missing the point. It is possible!! Should a defense get points for not being on the field? No but double turnovers do happen.

Here is a question. If Rashied Davis had scored that TD AFTER Minnesota (which they didnt) had defensive possesion, who should get the TD? Davis or the Bears offense?

Greg said, why award two TD's on one play? We do it every time a QB throws a TD. Whats the difference??

Not that any of my ideas have ever influenced the NFFC to make a change but.....

Players should be awarded points for scoring any TD's. A perfect example is if you have Reggie Bush. How can your own player score against you? Secondly, he gets hurt on "special teams" but who really gets penazlized? The Bush owners. Special teams continue on the player has to be replaced.

Please consider this change for 2009. Please, SERIOUSLY consider this and not put if off to the side.

Thanks Daryl, I don't think you can have it both ways with this rule. If as you request that the individual player gets the special teams score, then the Defense/ST can't also get that score. It's not fair to give Bush owners six points and the New Orleans D/ST six points. And if you change to individual players, then it obviously makes the Defenses less valuable.

I don't have any problem hearing a debate on the merits of individual players getting special teams scores, but I would be against rewarding BOTH for that score.
I stopped reading here:

I'll add, players values would than change, I wouldn't been able to get Bush in the 3rd round. Hope Bush is OK.

So please keep the rule on this as it is.

Thanks,

John
