i would like to have a rule that states the first player's name you speak, that is the player you get. if you say one player's name and then another i think you should be awarded the first player's name stated. this isn't about steve smith or adrian peterson. if you take those players in the first round everyone knows who you mean. but if you say steve smith, no adrian peterson i think you should have to take smith.

Does your proposal include on line satellites also? The reason I ask is sometimes people hit the wrong guy, etc. where if they were in a live room, they wouldn't make a mistake.

I have no problem with this being a rule in the live events, and honestly I am not sure this has ever been an issue, but I agree a rule (either way) should be in effect.

has Jerome Bettis been drafting with you?

until the nffc uses a write it down system like the nfl,,,,big freakin deal if a person instantly corrects themselves.

if we went with how you worded your post,,,,i could call out addai in the 11th round and get him,,,,what? i can't draft addai? i said his name didn't i?

for the future you shouldn't say it isn't about a certain player or two only to use those players in your example

for the future you shouldn't say it isn't about a certain player or two only to use those players in your example In the WCOFF, team owners are allowed to clarify their initial selection ("I want Steve Smith, CAR and not Steve Smith, NYG") but not allowed to correct their picks ("Wait, I didn't mean L.J. Smith, I wanted Steve Smith").

I believe the NFFC has a similar policy in place, but it's unwritten.

this happened during the las vegas 3 league's draft. in fact it happened twice. the ruling was that the facilitator hadn't announced the pick so the team owner was allowed to take the second player he asked for. it isn't so much that the owner got his second pick, its that he announced to the rest of league that i like this other guy and you better take him now, he won't make it back. i like this rule for the live drafts. i agree billywaz, for an internet league i think you need some leeway to protect the integrity of the league. i was a little lazy with my example, but the king said it for me. thanks king. actually, if addai is still there in the 11th round he's all yours yoda. if not, the facilitator should stand there and not say anything until you realize your mistake or you lose it. when anyone was picked that was already gone in our league this year, every or anyone would say something. i have no problem with that either. i don't care if you can't pronounce the guys name right. but if you say more than one players name i think you should receive the first one you say.
