Well, Scobey was a must have. And it's not like he could have left himself vulnerable at QB by dropping one of his 2 backups (McCown or Carr behind Brady).

Team Gekko takes another hit with the loss of Julius Jones just as he's coming back. Draft pick #'s 3 & 5 have now bit the dust. Good thing you have 6 rb's to absorb this blow.

Could be worse -- could be picks #1 an #5 (McAllister/Charles Rogers). But I still squeaked out a win.

Though I'd post a league summary if anyone is interested. Top 2 teams (both record and pts) are:

Kings of Queens 2-0 321.8
Tamuscarecrow 2-0 271.95

Well, there's 4 weeks to go till playoffs. standings for top teams in playoff hunt...

Jersey Paul Satellite 8-1 1155
Appleman 7-2 1263
Kings of Queens 7-2 1227
Team Fitzpatrick 5-4 1107
LBS Dyv (Gekko) 5-4 1059
Vega$ Gambler$ 5-4 1035
Borat's Battlers 4-5 1133
KJ Duke's Zefurs 4-5 1051

recent highlights...
Jersey Paul Satellite: with Staley likely on the bench this week, JP didn't bother to pick up a RB. it looks like he's starting C.Martin and L.Jordan. two Jets vs the Ravens. odd luck with that one. although it looks like JP is gonna catch a break, cause his opponent has boo williams at TE. i heard he might not play this weekend.

Appleman: Probably was my pick to win it all (Hasselbeck; Holmes; McGahee; O.Smith, J.Walker; T.Gonzalez). but he loses priest for at least one week.

King of Queens: Proud owner of Blaylock. enough said.

good luck all.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, but JP has a better record and King of Queens owns Appleman!1 of my losses in Gekko and a massive beatdown in NYC1!!Should make playoffs and if Priest injury not too serious could be a factor, if not...

The way GG wrote the rules, the 4 playoff teams are picked ... record, points, points, record.

As I am 3 games up with 4 to go in record, and with record being picked AFTER the top point getters are selected, I'm looking pretty good for a playoff spot. I saw no point in picking up a 4 ppg FB.

This week is probably a loss for me since I'm starting Garrard at QB, 1 functioning RB, and Kinney at TE who might or might not play. I have 5 players on a bye, plus Staley probably out and Kinney as a Q. I'm glad that I'm playing a team that's a long shot for the playoffs so this should have no effect on who will make the final 4.

What's King of Queens team name in NYC League 1? He's a good chap and I want to know if he's the guy that I gave my drink tickets to on draft day. I think it was the team drafting 8th or 10th. Whoever he is, I probably owe him another drink for kicking my butt and being a fellow Deadwood watcher.
