thanks bob, and diesel.. good job, i can honestly say i did a poor job, i had screaming kids, a dog eating my dinner, had my computer cable go out for 10 minutes, drafted 1 defense, just a poor job.. im not crazy about DC format, however my starting lineup if healthy is very good, i have a lot of depth (grade a depth i think) however if people go down my team is done). Trust me draft day will go down a hell of a lot different for me.. i literally drafted last night without any materials or checklists or my normal prep materials.. the guys did a good job though, they were tough, i thought the wr's went for too much and defenses and kickers were ridiculous however thats how it goes.. every auction draft is different. my first dc format and i learned from it.
- im used to dishing out the punishment in an auction draft, i got punched around.. but im man enough to admit it last night.. not to worry my 1300 draft will go off with perfection and my wcoff 25k tournament draft will be solid and i will win that as well.. i have to or i lose face.. when i get home i'll post my team.. i have to look it up.. i didn't even write the dam thing down to tell you how disorganized i was.
piece of advise don't draft in your kid's playroom while they are still up. (only computer that i had (i forgot mine at work). lol.. it was fun though. and gives us an idea on how much players will go for.

oh yea, one other thing, i appreciate the guys allowing me to correct my mistake of hitting the 2 instead of 1. it was a mistake and if it were a live auction obviously a mistake that couldn't have occured .. whatever decision had been made i wouldn't have complained however i do appreciate the honesty in the room with the exception of Billy who was kinda nasty. However i'll give him a pass because i was nasty at the start upset about the delay.. so we are even i guess.. Mike

Mike I know Johnny (even with dial up) has done numerous auctions on fantasy auctioneer before and has not had the problems he had yesterday. So for you to come on preaching that he should have "tested it first", kinda pissed me off.
So when you made your mistake, "what is good for the goose is good for the gander" came to mind.
No hard feelings Mike!

Here's the team from last night:
I'll do starting lineup then the others:
QB: Eli Manning
RB: Larry Johnson
RB: Julius Jones
RB=Flex:Matt Forte or Ronald Curry (depends if Harrison is healthy)
WR: Fitzgerald
WR: Roy Williams
WR: Marvin Harrison
TE: Cooley (love him)
DEF: Washington
DEF: Ackers
Others:
Chad Pennington, Kyle Boller, David Carr
Kevin Faulk, J. Wright, Kolby Smith, M. Bennett,
Ronald Curry, Andre Davis (if johnson gets hurt or is hurt, he becomes nice option), Lelie, Devry Henderson, DeSean Jackson,
Shiancoe, Fasano
- like i said, if i put my starting lineup against the other squads, i feel as though it's very very good. depth wise. well, not that happy.

Weber,
That could be a decent team in a regular draft, but in a DC the lack of depth will kill you. Its the reason D's and K's are in demeand. The volatility at those positions, even for poor teams is important to DC success. Having just one mediocre D rather than 2-3 will cost you the difference between a solid flex player and a scrub.

Did you get two kickers?
Marvin Harrison is a BIG key for you. If he is healthy again, then he will keep your core strong. If not, then Curry and Forte are starters, and you have ZERO solid depth IMO for bye weeks and injuries. Roy WIlliams is ALWAYS hurt, and Larry Johnson is still hurt from what I have heard.
Another issue I would be concerned about is having Eli as your #1. Now if you have a comparable #2 (Cutler, Rivers, etc.) nothing to worry about, but Pennington and Boller?
Good chance both of them might not even play.
Like you said, you weren't used to the DC format, and it only cost you $175, so I guess that is a good thing.

I had Randy Moss in a DC last, he had the best year EVER by a receiver, and his score only counted 11/16 weeks on my DC team. Amani Toomer played 7/16 and Anthony Gonzalez played 5/16.
The point is that even the biggest stud receivers are going to have weeks they produce very little and if you don't have great depth you will have weeks where your team may only score around 100 points and that will knock you out of contention in this format.
Defenses are the same way. The points vary so much week to week that quantity is much better than quality.
