I've got 8 owners who already have said they would do a private league. Shoot me an e-mail if you're interested in an online draft on Saturday, Oct. 29th.

Hey Greg-
I may know another person interested but he wants to know about the rules. Are we going to use the same rules you previously stated?
That is:
-12 team leagues
-Online draft on Saturday, Oct. 29th
-16-round draft
-Start 12 players per week:
4 Guards
4 Forwards
2 Centers
2 Flex
-8-cat Rotisserie format:
PTS
REB
ASS
STL
BLK
3's
FG%
FT%
-NO TRADES
-$1,000 FAAB for in-season free agents using blind bidding process.
-Main thing I was wondering about that you hadn't covered yet is position eligibility. What list are we going to use to detirmine this and will players gain new position eligibility after starting 5-10 games?
-Also...since we don't have an official high stakes national fantasy basketball championship this year, why don't we raise the entry fee to at least make it the "unofficial" high stakes championship league.
-Maybe raise it from $600 to $1,000? Since Greg is kind enough to organize this without taking any $ save for the stats fee, we could raise the prizes to something like:
1st- $7500
2nd- $3000
3rd- $1500 - stats fee
how does that sound?

We have 11 owners who want to compete right now. I'll start a signup thread soon to get confirmation from everyone and we'll see where it takes us.
Yes, those are the rules. I have them done, so I can e-mail each owner soon.
Let's stick with $600 now. If there are 12 guys who want higher stakes, we'll put them together.
Whichever stats service we use would be the official determination of position eligibility. The only cost would be for the stat service and Allstar Stats can do FAAB. So I'd have to take out that expense and then pay the winners accordingly.
Keep the thoughts and interest going here and I'll update the best I can.

These new rules are ridiculous...In 5-10 years, our kids won't be able to pretend that they are Steve Nash playing basketball at school or Tomlinson when they play street football without giving some kind of residual to the NFL or NBA...lol

Okay, I'll shoot out an e-mail to those who have responded via e-mail as there's enough interest for more than one league already. Those who have shown an interest include:
1. Glenn Schroter
2. Eric Wong
3. Hector Castro
4. Clark Olson
5. Richard Gordon
6. Eddie Gillis
7. John Hogan
8. Brian Oldenski
9. Todd Lammi
10. Richard Lepow
11. Jeff Dobies
12. John Barkow
13. Scott Newman
14. Pete Suni
15. Richard Breech
If you can't do it, no problem right now. I'll just send out the rules via e-mail and see what comes of everything. If you want the rules e-mailed to you, just add your name to this list and I'll get them out. I should have more info tomorrow for everyone. Thanks.
