COUNTDOWN 2010

Post by Diesel » Thu Mar 04, 2010 11:16 pm

Do you want to see how fast time goes by? Follow this thread every now and then through the off-season, and you won't believe how quickly the NFL is back in action.

COUNTDOWN to live Draft Day(s):
25 WEEKS

As of right now, Thomas Jones, L.Tomlinson,B.Westbrook,T.Owens have no home in the NFL...Any thoughts on where they will go? I saw Burleson, A.Bryant and Kevin Walter's names down as players to be relocating soon also.

Post your thoughts for next season here. Once the season starts, Its always fun to backtrack and read through this thread and see who was wrong and who was right, and who guessed something that noone thought would happen.

Enjoy the off season. A lot can and will happen over the next 25 weeks.

When are they going to post the tournament schedule and sign ups for 2010? I'm chomping at the bit!

Rage, I would guess late April. They have to run the baseball events. Once MLB is underway and the baseball leagues are all drafted and running smooth, they will focus back here on football.

Jeff, I always look through this thread halfway through the season and laugh at some of our predictions, and also am amazed by some of the long shots that people predict.

Try and poke your head in here through the off season. We'll keep it interesting for everyone who's NFL/24/7/365.

I paid for an NFBC satellite for a friend of mine to run. He knows baseball inside and out but never played fantasy for money. It gives me a fantasy "fix" until I can get a 2010 fantasy football draft under my belt. I still won't watch baseball but I'll have something going on.

So for now, we have our off season thread to keep the NFL fresh in our heads.

Now where is Thomas Jones going to end up? Also Brandon Marshall looking into the Seahawks? Housh didn't do squat! Not sure if that offense can be fixed, but its an interestong topic.

Football came and past like a late afternoon storm. wow how time passes so fast these days, seems like we had just started & it was already over. with the money situation, off seaeson is going to be weird but at least I have seen a little movement over the past few days. TJ going to KC which I think is a good move for KC if TJ has something left in the tank, not going to win them a superbowl but help for a team needing a lot of Help. A. Bryant to Cin & I'm not sure at this point if Cin knows what kind of team they want to be. In the past yars I would have thought this was a good move for AB, but now I'm not sure this was a good move for him. I think he could have put himself in a better situation at this point of his career.

Wooderson,

I read that Cincy signed Matt Jones too. So they're trying to create the multi-wr system like when the Bengals had Housh, Cinco and Henry. If Matt Jones stays out of trouble, he could see many TD opportunities and match Chris Henry's TD totals. Great for DraftChampions leagues.

Diesel,

That read of yours about Cincy getting the multi-wr going would definitely remind me of the way I've always seen Cincy--Pass, Pass, Pass. No D! I thought they did a really good job last year of trying to b a run first team when you've always been pass first and their defense turned out to be the pride of their team. Matt could definitely be a help to their team if he can just stay clean which remains to be seen. It was sad to see what happened to Chris Henry, talented but trouble always followed him. I thought his best years where still ahead of him if he could just mature. Unfortunately his death happened only about 1.5 miles from my parents home. Him & girlfiend were argueing going down road in residential neighborhood with 20 mile per hour speed limit, her in front of truck driving, him in back truck bed hollaring and then he jumped out to his death. no charges to girlfriend & she was not speeding. left her & 3 young kids behind, pretty family-so sad. girlfriend was actually an athlete also here locally so kids have athletic bloodlines. I was glad to see Benson come into his own this year for the Bengals which looks like a steal of a deal for him after the season he posted. Cincy actually being good made that division so much better, but actually the Browns replaced Cincy being terrible!
