This would help level the playing field for those two weeks and would not have them either at the beginning or end when all teams are at full strength when the emphasis should be on winning your game against a league opponent. Not a bad idea. It's worth considering.

Per Perry's suggestion, the 6-team bye weeks this year were Week 4 and it was supposed to be Week 8, but then of course Houston and Cincinnati had their makeup game that week. But having the "all-play" in Weeks 4 and 8 has a lot of merit to it. Good suggestion Perry.

Perry's decision makes sense since this isn't truly "all-play". If it were all-play in its true form, then you'd have a W/L against every opponent.
2008- Didn't finish last overall in the Classic.
2009- Didn't finish last overall in the Classic or Primetime.

Thoughts On All-Play Format In Weeks 12 and 13
Playing the 2 weeks of all play when there is byes is a bad idea IMO.
If h2h has to be around in some form I would love to see this format that's in the NBC weeks 12 and 13 be the case for the whole year
Doesn't it make sense the 6 best teams of the week win and the 6 worse lose
Instead of having a guy score 160 and lose because of something they have no controll over
I have been in the NFFC for 3 years and have NEVER been excited by any of my h2h matchups...
Until this wacky monday night
NBC phone league 1, I came into the week first in points by 75 but was 1 game h2h behind 2 teams.
1 team had a loss by monday, the other barely ends up losing and was part of the story till the end.
To make a long thrilling monday night story short I end up behind 2 guys by .1 and .2 with about 5 and a half minutes left one guy has Grant who has almost no reason to get carries at this point(altough he gets one ) and the other has Brees and D Henderson. I have Jennings and only need to beat 1 guy to get in the six...
That winning catch by Jennings now allows me to virtually wrap up $5000 with a top 6 finish this week as I am 90 points ahead in points and now tied h2h.
That was the most exciting meaningless catch ever

Wayne Yes, this was REALLY bad for me (as it turned out). How does 136.75 pts not make top 6??

Fine the way it is.
Taking out the byes is not FF.
I was in 1st and lost the week 12 deal.
The 2nd team lost week 13.
I think the cut off point was around 130 both weeks.
I would have lost both weeks if Slaton hadn't been given 2 tds.
It's not as easy as it is made out to be.
I've played with bye weeks since FF started.
I wouldn't play next year if the 6 team bye weeks were eliminated from the proccess.
Probably sound like a baby, but I'm just being truthful.

Thoughts On All-Play Format In Weeks 12 and 13
In Orlando #2, the H2H leader took a loss when a couple of teams way down in the standings posted abnormally high scores. This allowed what would have been the 3rd place team on points to get in to the championship round on record.
Unfortunately, I was the 2nd place team in points (by .35 points, no less)...and as a result, I'm on the outside looking in.
Trying to remain as objective as possible. I thought going in that my chances were actually BETTER due to the all-play format since I did not have to rely on him beating only one team. I figured that the odds were in my favor since he only had to finish in the top half of scoring for the week.
As the results show, even in all play, anything can happen. I'm not sure how changing the all play weeks ultimately affects anything.

I went from the overall point leader out of 252 to second place in my league. I had my worst week of the season and got 8th. The loss dropped me to 10-3, tied with Disposable Heroes. He beat me in points after a monster final week. I got 5th overall in points out of 252 and didn't win my league
