Why the NFFC & NFBC is speciall...

This is my Take :

There are some that think the ON-Line Leagues will eventually do away with the Live Leagues.

Just ask the Post Office if E-Mail has them frightened about loosing their jobs

I don't think that will happen with this Organization ( I hope not anyway ) .

Though I have yet to make it to the Live Nationals , It remains a great desire of mine to do so.

From reading these post , it seems to me that the BONDS that have formed from these live events is what gives now and always will give this Organization its Strength and Character.

Thats what makes this Organization so Special, IMHO:cool:

Would anyone agree with that ?

Good points D and without question do what you can to make a live event. There is nothing quite like the excitement and energy of having everyone drafting in the same room imo.

Absolutely true. Even if I hated the new regime (which I don't) I'd still make the trip just to hang out with BWazz..Rob Benetti...Jack...Wayne...Mike...Daryl...Ormond and all the other cool people I've gotten to know the last 6 years.

You've got to get out and meet the players face to face. The MB will never do justice to the people in this event. Even though I've never met him in person I've heard rumors that Gekko is human. ;) Lol!

We have no plans to move this to a completely online game.

I got asked that ? a lot over the weekend.

We will have an Online Championship and our plans are to make that even better.

But we also have big plans for the main event -- we have big plans to make that even bigger.

Ryan,
What about moving the event to the weekend directly after the Thursday game?

GG --

When we have private conversations -- they should remain as such ;)

In regards to moving weekends Captain Hook -- we will do whatever we think we should do based on our customers feedback.

You will get a sense for our plans when we release our NFBC details.

sorry, not trying to reveal private conversations, just meant to ask an open-ended question and hopefully other people would chime in with their thoughts.

there's always breaking news that hits after the draft date and before the season starts, i.e. caddy williams now starter for example.

it's even worse for baseball when the draft is held two weeks prior to opening day. creates more guessing/luck (playing slot machines).

Personally, I like the draft date exactly where it is.

Glenn Ditto.

Moving it to the same weekend as WCOFF and FFPC would be......... well, no comment.

Keep it where it is, and build the online event for people who want to draft closer to the season.
