The slow auction run by Pete and Wayne is a lot of fun. But don't be decieved by the "slow" label. You do have 12 hours to bid on any player that is on the board, but there are sometimes 50 players being bid on at once.
Thanks Pete for getting this together again. This draft helps the pain of the off season.

You actually have 24 hours to bid. Wayne and I tried to come up with a way for there not to be so many players up at once, but the MFL site restricts us in that aspect. I think what I'm going to do is request that teams don't nominate more than 4 players per day. We're not going to police it though.
and yes, i think this draft is a blast too.

That's a great idea. Just a gentlemen's rule to try not to nominate more than 4 players in a day. No penalty if you go over. I'm sure everyone will be ok with that rule.

when i watched the draft on 2011 i watched nick fairley and his reaction to being drafted by the lions. i never saw him smile once. there was a picture in the paper of him holding a detroit jersey and smiling. so anyway i have been wondering about his commitment to the game. i really don't care if people smoke weed. smoke all you want. but a professional player should be looking out for his body. with fairley i really question his commitment now. i think he will be a total bust. i hope i'm wrong.
