it looks as if the 'boys, vikes, niners, and chargers are going to miss the playoffs this year. the saints are still iffy to me. outside of the typical best vs best/worst vs worst scheduling of the NFL, can anybody explain this to me.

the cowboys (supposedly) have great talent..blame wade phillips?

the vikes have a DEF, AP, Moss, Harvin and BRETT..? blame Brett? or coaching?

the niners have the NFC West..? totally do not understand this one..blame alex smith?

the chargers have gates, (stud?)Matthews, rivers, vJax coming back..blame Turner?

this has been a crazy first seven weeks, but the cream seems to be the Steelers, Patriots, Giants, Ravens, Titans, and Jets..all as a result of the respective organizations and/or good defense.

with offensive skilled players going down like a "one egg puddin", the last team standing will be the team with the best Defense and a "zero tolerance" policy for turnovers.

Bill, I think you hit the nail on the head with this last sentence. You can easily pass on the Vikings and Cowboys. All of the teams you mention make stupid turnovers and take far too many penalties. The Niners' defense was supposed to be good and against a soft schedule. They don't do anything for ya. The Chargers have talent, but no heart, no killer instinct and no leader. They are great as a fantasy team, but that doesn't get it done in the W-L column.

I've NEVER seen an NFL season like this one. You can't predict anything from week to week. I have NO IDEA who is going to win the Super Bowl this year or even make the playoffs. I think the last healthy team standing will win it all, but I have no idea who that is going to be. It's the craziest NFL season -- and craziest fantasy football season -- I can ever remember.

It will all come down to health this season. This will be a survival of the fittest.

I was speaking on this just this morning and a comment made really resonated, it's simply about one team, any team just getting hot for a four or five week stretch. With all the parity and injuries, it could be alesser team that none of us take seriously that catches health and their schedule right and runs off a lil string that leaves their division rivals in their wake.

TB, Seattle anyone? Yikes that's just frightening lol.

IMO, the G-Men are the best in the NFC "now"... hands down...but we all know how it can change over a week or two...

the defense is solid, i believe they've knocked five QB's out this year...if Jacobs is happy as a backup to Bradshaw, with all the outside weapons they have, these guys are the cream in the NFC.
Now I am confused...Raheem Morris said the Bucs are the best.

If they avoid the devastating injuries, Giants are team to beat in conference.

AFC playoffs should be awesome. NFC? Not so much.

If Vick and DJax come back healthy, the Eagles offense can be absurd. McCoy looks fantastic. Maclin has been great. Celek is solid.

The D is weak, but they can beat anyone in the NFC (ask Atlanta)
agree KoQ, i failed to mention the "birds". i'm not sold on them as of yet, but they are still probably #2 behind NY. the NFC is such a mess, so for all these reasons, the SB winner will probably come from the NFC... ...go figure.
