Looking for confirmation on a few things
Looking for confirmation on a few things
I'm looking for confirmation on a few "Online Championship Rules"
1) Friday 11/30 is the last day to pick up free agents for the rest of the year.
2) If one owner has best record in your league and another owner has most points, when you play weeks 14-16 for the remaining $1100, you DO NOT start with your avg points scored for the year. It is simply the total points of weeks 14-16 that determines the winner of your league.
3) There is NO prize money awarded for Top scoring team in any of the playoff weeks. I remember that there was at least one year that the highest scoring team for each playoff week got $700.

Re: Looking for confirmation on a few things
The written rules, published in a very conspicuous place on this website, would confirm all of these things for you.
Re: Looking for confirmation on a few things
I did check the rules.... I'm looking for confirmation as to how I interpret them. Just in case maybe I missed something. Thank you though for your suggestion to check the rules.

Re: Looking for confirmation on a few things
Mauraders, to answer your questions:
1. This Friday is the final day of FAAB. No pickups are made in any of our leagues after Week 13.
2. You DO take your weekly average score with you if you have league playoff to determine the league champ.
3. We are not providing a prize for the highest weekly score in the playoffs in the Online Championship.

Tom,
Thank you for your response, your answer to question #2 is why I posted this topic.
I took this and copy and pasted it from the rules section:
League Prizes
First Place: $1,600 (most total points + best h2h record if one team wins both; if teams split the two top spots, then each team will earn $500 and play a three-week tiebreaker in Weeks 14-16 with the team scoring most total points during those three weeks earning the remaining $1,100 and being named league champ)
Second Place: $500 (most total points following league champ)
$5,000 Bonus will be awarded to the top overall team based on number of points earned in the NFFC Classic Main Event and the NFFC Online Championship.
$75,000 will be awarded to any team that wins the overall titles in both the NFFC Classic main event and the NFFC Online Championship.
The grand prize is guaranteed at $100,000. The first 1,596 teams that enter are guaranteed spots in the NFFC Online Championship and any additional revenue above that total up to a maximum of 3,600 teams will be reimbursed under the same percentages to the overall prize pools.
This doesn't say anything about carrying your season avg.

Re: Looking for confirmation on a few things
Mauraders, your weekly average score will be your starting point in Week 13 if you have a league playoff. We consider league playoffs to also be part of the "Championship Round" and our rules do state that Championship Round teams carry their average weekly scores into Week 14.

Re: Looking for confirmation on a few things
I agree that that rule is not 100% clear as written, a little note about it including the Week 1-13 Avg would be good -or- mention that it's run the same as the Overall Playoff format.
Re: Looking for confirmation on a few things
Thanks for the questions, Marauders. I too thought you started the 3 week stretch run with 0 points for league titles. Good to know I'll be carrying my points with me if I make it.
