Plans For 4th Annual NFFC 12-Team Diamond League
One of the NFFC leagues that fills up the fastest each year is the NFFC Diamond League, which we started in 2010 and have now sold out for three straight years. There is more and more interest in the high-dollar private leagues and the reason is obvious: The highest payouts in our contest. The NFFC Diamond League pays back at a 95% rate and one owner can win $80,000!! AWESOME.
During our first three seasons, we've had three great champions: Peter Berall in 2010 ($80,000), Chad Schroeder in 2011 ($60,000) and Paul Clein in 2012 ($70,000). Great job all.
Okay, so with a busy, busy schedule for Friday, Sept. 6th this year, I'm proposing that we all wake up a little earlier this year and push the starting time to 9 am PT. We've started at 10 am PT in years past, but I'm going to try to squeeze in some key leagues at 9, noon, 3 pm and 6 pm if at all possible. If there's an outcry against 9 am, we can figure out the best time, but the goal is to give everyone enough time to do all the leagues they want that day.
The 12 owners from last year definitely have first dibs on spots in this league, but anyone who has interest can put their names down here or email me at [email protected] and we'll do what we can to fit them in here or start a second Diamond League. We just filled two Diamond Leagues in the NFBC (15 teams per league), so anything is possible here. Let's start a Diamond League Signup List and get feedback from everyone. Last year's competitors have until May 1st to officially secure their spots and obviously we don't need any money until after Aug. 1st. Thanks all.
Here's the current signup list, led by Peter Berall who said "keep me in this league every year for the rest of my life!!"

Re: Plans For 4th Annual NFFC 12-Team Diamond League
As for the rules of this league, I know there has been talk of changing things up or extending the regular season, but at this point I have not changed anything. We have had extremely competitive leagues since 2010 and unless there is an overwhelming consensus to change things, we will go with the format that we've had the last three years:
Prize Table
Place League Consolation Round
1st $60,000 $2,000
2nd $25,000 --
3rd $7,000 --
Head-to-Head Regular Season Champion: $10,000
Total Points Regular Season Champion: $10,000
Consolation Round Winner: $2,000

No disrespect to Peter, but didn't Paul Clein win the Diamond this year?

Oh, how soon I forget!! Peter won the Ultimate League this year. My bad. It's been updated and who knows, maybe Paul might even want to return to this league!! After all, he must be feeling good with a Diamond League title in his pocket, $70,000 in winnings AND the Falcons so close to the Super Bowl!! Can the Falcons finish it off Paul?BillyWaz wrote:No disrespect to Peter, but didn't Paul Clein win the Diamond this year?

Falcons are a 50-50 shot in my opinion. Nobody...I mean nobody...will be picking them to make it. But they play better when the expectations are for them to lose.
If they do make it to the Super Bowl, it'll be a good thing I won the Diamond Title because at the beginning of the season I promised my son and my Dad I'd take them to the Super Bowl if the Falcons won the NFC. And man, will that be expensive...
